I"m trying, quite simply, to say a name. A composer of some note. Burt B******ch.

And I wonder why I can't. It's weird. I mean, why is Burt's name being elided? If you look at the name and what is elided, you'll likely be confused.

Well, nevermind. Here is something by Burt B******ch. :)

I mean, guy's hooked in to something I want to say. So enjoy my first pass here, best as I can make it.

Odd, though. Odd.

Kinda funny, actually.

****** is a female name in Thailand, a Hindi clan and a Filipino food. Go figure.

Darling lady,

I know you and Ron will get through this. The plastic surgeon will excise the problem and soon your love will be recovering with you, scarred but no less the person he is. My best thoughts are with you along with all of the positive energy I can pile onto their backs.

Actually Ron is better about it than I am I was in floods of tears when he came back from the hospital and told me and I keep suddenly breaking down all over the place. He has to get it cut out but it's that dreaded word that strikes a chill into my heart. I waited nearly all my life to find someone to love me for who I am I never loved anyone like I do Ron. I just wish they had diagnosed him earlier he kept being fobbed off

Hi peeps.

Got a favor to ask of ya'll. My friend Jen posted her first ever poem in the "Suddenly" thread. If you would be so nice, give it a read and leave her a comment. I think she has some great potential. Thanks in advance.

Hello, dear peeps.

Annie- I hope everything goes well with Ron's treatment. Both of my grandmothers had skin cancer. They were both treated and survived it well. My one grandmother had it come back, but after a quick second treatment, she did fine.

SB- Good to see you in the Bistro, hon. (((hugs)))

It's like 3:30 AM here. New meds messing with my sleep. I get really tired in the afternoon, then wide awake once 9 PM hits. I guess I should go get my prescription for sleeping pills filled. I'm just worried that if I take them, I'll neva get up. LOL Ah, reminiscent of the Seroquel days... when I took 50 mg. and woke up 17 hours later....

fun.

Oh, well, while I'm up, pass the coffee will ya? Okay, I'll take the decaf.

-Sheila

Hellooooooo Sheila dear good to see you (((hugs))) at the moment I am more worried about his Op on the 23rd when he has to have a full anaesthetic as for the rest I try not to think about it too much and apart from the initial flood of tears he hasn't seen me cry since (not that I don't in private) and just keeping spirits high. Anyway we are off dancing tonight at the Amateur Wine Guild dance lots of home made wine to sample and very potent it is too!! I once made some pea pod wine phawwwwwww nearly blew my head off!!

homemade wine... I only tasted homemade wine once. I had some homemade peach wine while I was in college down south.

I have partaken freely of the Elderflower wine but oh the joy of knowing when I walked across the empty dance floor every head turned........ if only I had known years ago that I could do that when all I saw in the mirror was ugliness

Holy cold snappin' arseholes, man. It's currently -29 celcius (20 below for the metrically challenged) and earlier, when it was even colder, we had a power outage for two and a half hours. This meant that even though we heat with natural gas, there wasn't any current to make the blower fans move the air through the flames. Thank goodness for woodburning fireplaces and a bit of foresight as to locating blankets and closing rooms off, just in case.

I'm glad life is normal (enough) for now.

Brrrrrrr I couldn't be doing with that sort of cold. I hear it's been snowing in Las Vegas too. I just had to take my sweater off because I was too warm and the heatings not on either!

Good lord, that is TOO GODDAMN COLD.

We have about the same heating system as you do; coleman furnace and wood stove.

Last night was Solstice, and we had a bunch of people over for the night. Nine of them decided to actually stay till dawn, and the vigil was a complete hoot, to say the least. We do some Sacred Stuff for a short while, but most of the night is about huddling together for warmth and keeping each other's spirits up.

loststar actually nodded off three times WHILE WINNING A CARD GAME. Huge pot too, with a bunch of shiny objects.

Myself, I can testify that my spirits were indeed kept up. It was below zero outside, not as cruel and stupid as your temps but we did have a wind chill that would cut a moose in half. But somehow with all the companionship I lost track of how cold it was, and the night passed warmly and quickly.

Community and how it keeps us warm during hard times. I thought about that a lot last night during the hilarity.

*envies madly*

yup. Vegas got snow. I'm so glad I'm not there. There's no driver so dangerous as one who's not used to driving on snow and ice, like those in the nice warm places like Nevada.

I am glad you're staying warm, dearie. How are things? And stuff? And holidays? and such?

Mother. Jesus. Balls.

Remind me to never ever ever ever visit whatever scary place you reside in during the winter.

Best. Curse. This week.

And damn fine to see you.

Presents all wrapped got to deliver some tomorrow then do that crazy thing called last minute food shopping early (errrm does that make sense?) and hope it keeps 'cos Ron won't be able to drive after tomorrow. I've grown my own sprouts! Well 'stuff' is on a backburner till I know Ron is ok after his anaesthetic (Tues) got a little worm writhing around in my innards till then

*waves* I'm around.

And credit for the curse goes to Wil Wheaton. He's an enjoyable writer and blogger with an ability to curse.

I had a total crush on him when he was going through puberty on Star Trek.

I've been keeping track of the fact that that's coming up. Thinking good thoughts for both of you.

Hey I was just thinking about nicknames and pet names, which I use constantly. Love, sweetie, stuff like that. But it occurred to me that you're the only one I've ever called 'Dolly'. Just seems to fit, y'know? I hope you don't mind.

We can't have the worry worm going round right now. You deserve peace and comfort.

Here. I know I played this somewhere already, but it's a good one. Close your eyes, dance around a little. It'll help.
