Very erotic picture, the girl is a total fox!!

Yes or they categorize us as angry or with attitudes with our necks rolling. I'm quiet, caramel complexioned, using correct grammar, friendly, caring about others (not selfish, gold digging nor catty towards other females no matter the race, especially my own), willing to make a difference in my community and to a certain extent, smart. Willing to share what I know to help someone out as well. I'm open minded and choose to be even tempered. The media and negative thoughts from others controls thought processes of others by filling the public with negative images of what stereotype has been passed down throughout the years.

We all have been culturally dumbfounded or "programmed" with these images to put us (me and those like me) in a primitive state of mind, lowering the Black female into no more than a fetish for some. I'm not militant, but speaking on how I see from my perspective on how we are categorized and thought of. We range in hues from passing for white to blackberry. I'm somewhere in between.

You are 100% correct BCC and your have eloquently stated what I have been thinking. If a LatinX woman exhibited the same "stereotypical" black women behaviors, they'd be called "spicy." If aany other non-black group of women do same thing they get a pass, because society has deemed the black woman, i.e. a dark skinned black woman, "the angry black woman." And like you BCC, even though I have more melanin, I am very much the girl next door type that likes to go out and do things like axe throwing, traveling, going to hockey games, etc. But all some people see is dark skin and equate that with a fetish or stereotype instead of what a cool person I am.

Evening everyone! I hope you all had a great day so far. I'm a 5'4 23F who is absolutely heading over heels for older Caucasian men. I've been trapped in this jar of the exotic urges of wanting to be with an older white man for his love, physically, mentally and emotionally. Sadly that's just a fairytale on a shelf due to my unhappy marriage.

Just give me a chance to get you off the shelf!

Happy belated Valentine's day to you all:heart:

I hope you don't miss out on getting to know someone just because they may not exude the appeal by giving comments that may cause you to see them other than in a sexual light, like CookiesNCreamKiss.

The several black women I've been involved with - one a university professor with a PhD, several highly educated, all quite engaging and considerate, always talked about their objectification, fetishization, and being reduced to a mass-media-produced stereotype - though it wasn't them at all. In short, most of society, particularly white men, never saw them, just their skin color.

Admittedly, I'm a bit taken aback by some of the comments made on this thread - yes, some black women are amazingly beautiful and intelligent, but then so are some white women and some brown women, etc. Likewise, there are many who aren't that attractive in appearance and behavior - but fortunately each of us are attracted to different traits.

Thank god for the girl-next-door types - though I think I'll pass on the ax throwing!

Well stated

I’m biracial! (Black and white)
Pretty new to chatting on Lit. Having lots of fun! But I’ve loved reading the stories for a long time now.

Sheltered

I’m in a small town and never had the chance to experience it for myself but even at 40 I would in a heartbeat. For all I know I could be missing out
