Business Travelers Unite

I miss traveling. I would be be in Bangkok now on business if it wasn’t for the pandemic. Ah.... maybe next year 😑

I've got 2 trips upcoming, both for pleasure - as work is grounded.
Houston - to see Chicago in concert in June - it hasn't been cancelled yet! so excited to go and see extended family.
UK - in September - It was scheduled for August - got moved a week to September.
Hope the area is back on tract by then.

My company is expanding to cover the state. If there are any married women (I’m mwm) who would like to chat and make some plans to meet up down the road, message me.

oh no, my trip in September includes Ireland. but so far they say we are a go.

Reading some of the stories about packed airplanes and whether a mask is required or not, seems that some travel is still going on. Not sure if events that bring a lot of people together will happen or not this summer. I read that the 2020 Octoberfest in Germany was cancelled so even something that far out has been cancelled. I hope that people that have scheduled vacations throughout the summer and into the fall are able to enjoy their trips.

I wonder what the long term effective of all of this will be on business travel? Think that there will be more virtual meetings and less face to face meetings in the future?

Sorry to hear about your Chicago in Houston cancellation. I was getting excited just knowing that someone as hot as you was going to be in the area. :)

Hope for better days.

I saw that the beaches and parks were packed this weekend. I guess a lot of pent up frustration of being stuck at home for so long. I wonder how business travel will be affected long term? I have heard that the virtual meetings have been working so will that become more the norm instead of traveling for face to face meetings? That would be a bummer.

Same here, we had a nice long chat with our executives; for a guy like me who actually enjoy people interactions, I feel I need to explain, not necessarily sexual interactions, this covid-19 crap Is seriously hampering human connections.

There is so much you can see from the non verbal when talking to someone in person instead of Skype. And if you happen to be using zoom with cam, well what do you know, almost no one is wearing a dress shirt.

The tailors may also be covid-19 casualties!

Stay safe all,

V.

If you’re coming to the UK, I would check the new rules being introduced - two weeks in quarantine when you first get here.

Of course September is three months away...

I wont be traveling for a few more months sadly. If you would to have a virtual cocktail at the hotel bar, please let me know,
