Chasin' Chickens

chasing chickens
is like chasing ourself
our spiritual and physical body
is like a book on a shelf
it is all one

tear a page out
even though the book
is still there
a big part inside
is dead and bare

but, when looking on the outside
the book you still see
and it looks
as fine as can be
then, open it up to read it
and see what you get
I enjoyed this, especially the last line.

a mothers body
is designed
to protect
her baby

a mothers heart
is like
a deep ocean,
full of love

a mother is like
a shooting star
falling down
from up above

a mother is
a special part
of what makes
this world
what it is

used to be a
mover and shaker

as of late, been
more laid back

time to do the
things I want

and let my mind
get back on track

do I chase chickens
or await till I hear their cocky crow
then capture it with a fist full of feathers?

whom so ever trys
to stop a flame
from crossong the world
which will bring nations together
is attempting
to tear the world in two

running around
like a chicken with it's head cut off
and still
getting no where
but on a plate for dinner

wish I was having
the same chick problem as you
would trade places any old day
for my little chick
to be at my table

I went from
two little chicks
to one
because it was
what must be done
but in my heart
my little chick
will always be
one of my
number one's

Sword of Truth & Shield of Honesty
by My Erotic Tale©

Shall I play 'a mouse trap' like Hamlet
to show you some wicked ways

It's hard to grasp the tongue of a Dragon
with fire being bellowed in say

Words can shrill like the octave note
that breaks and shatters glass

or soothe a soul like a summer rain
or beating waves that splash

Words can mimic dogs that bark
or a constant faucet drip

They can touch you deeply in your soul
and bring a quivering lip

If you handed out your words to another
like passing out, medication

Would you be reckless or careless
in their distribution

Is it nature to whisper sweetness
into the ear of your mother

then turn and shout, critic and judge
your closes friend or neighbor

Some words stick like grains of sand
embedded under the eye lid

some words lift you to that plain
where it's easy to forgive

Some spit words like bullets fired
uncaring of their harm

their hearts are cold and battered
anger keeps them warm

Words can come across like sandpaper
abrasive to the inner drum

or fill you with a sweet soothing melody
you uncontrollably have to hum

Words of truth can cut like a knife
be humble spoken, I plea

We are all armed with the Sword of Truth
and the Shield of Honesty

(going through my old writes... I needed this (~_~)

me time?
what is that exactly?
there is no second not
occupied by something
important? sometimes;
necessary? usually,
but always worth while

time goes by slowly
then flys as fast as can be
right now it is slow
waiting for my love to be
back where he should
have always been

that's..........
here zen zen
go get that little chick
that daddy
just shot

soft mouth
don't hurt
my meat
waiting on...
my, treat

this little chick
got a brand new truck
2008, HHR
sure makes me
feel like a star

paid in full
free and clear
sure makes me
feel like a dear

The Shield

The Shield

(The Badge of Courage)

The Shield doesn't stop a bullet
or wrestle an angry man
when it is bone against bone
it is not justice that groans

who is cast into the dark
shadowed crevices of our society
and expected to up hold justice
and defend righteousness

those that wear the shield
the badge of courage

when someone takes
'the law into their own hands'
they hold a woman or man
wearing a badge

when things get out of hand
you call, "The Man."
the soldiers of the suburbs
who protect and serve

the cold hard facts
officers are lost daily
in the line of duty
out in the field

behind a small badge
called ...

The Shield
