My first suggestion would be to read the first post of the main thread on the Author's Hangout.

My second suggestion would be to post over on said thread and give people a chance to know you, vice versa.

Past that, the general rule is that you need to PM your information to myself or sweetsubsarahh (what info is needed is in that first post of said thread ;) ), and the party fee must be paid prior to the party. No hotel information is released until a) you have posted some and b) the fee is paid.

If you have any other questions, let me know. :)

Hey pleaz - do you know if most of the attendees are people somewhat exclusively from the author's hangout? I'm afraid if I did go, I wouldn't know anyone (and I know you said to post there to get to know them, but let's pretend that the time is too short to adequately do that).

The group is a mixture of people who post on the Author's Hangout and the Playground. It began because there were several AH'ers that had been posting together for a few years and wanted to meet each other.

It is a good way to meet new people, but if you don't go post on the threads, you are going to feel very out-of-sorts at the party.
