Circumcised or natural (foreskin)?

They should hop on over to England, where they would be welcomed with open arms lol! Totally normal to be uncut, in fact very rarely seen a cut one - kindof a novelty.

Same here. In fact, the cut ones I've seen ( I used to be a renal/urology nurse so I've seen a lot of dick) have usually been on non-natives and religious people.

My boyfriend had no idea he was circumsized. In the states, cut penises are so common that you'd be surprised at the amount of men who assume they're natural. I personally don't have a preference, but I could tell his penis could have been thicker at the head. Some men have real hack jobs for cuts. I applaud our brothers in the uk for having sense. There is nothing wrong with being natural.

Didn't have uncut until Hubby.

Personally, they do not feel any different. Although when working on them either by hand or mouth ... there are more things that can be done when the foreskin is there ... at least until it is totally hard :D

I've been told by a nurse that when they are little babies, there is no need to pull the skin back for cleaning it. The action of pulling it back often causes little tears that can cause infections.

I don't think you can orgasm without a clit.

Of course, I'm a boy. I'm only going by some old Naomi Wolf paper or something.

Well I have a clit so from personal experience that's difficult to tell for sure...but I can certainly orgasm with no contact to my clit, so that suggests to me that it is possible.

See the health consequences at this link.

Orgasm issues are only one part of the problem.

Interesting link. thanks. Trust me I'm not a proponent.

Here in Sweden noone do it to small children except for religeus reasons and we seem to manage ourselfs very well I say :)

I only heard of one guy who needed to get a circomsission for medical reasons so ... its not a very valid reason it seems to me...

Call me crazy, but I think he did on Cafe? If not, shame shame on him.

 - careful
I am very selective which rules I break around here

unless you might want to sort out how to properly punish a rather Toppy switch ;)

I've been with both cut and uncut men and never really thought that much about it. Every cock is different anyway.

Being Swedish it didn't even occur to me to have my son circumcised. Reading this thread made me a little anxious about his penile hygiene, however. (He's 9) So I had to ask him today if he pulls the foreskin back to wash himself.... He wasn't at all embarrassed thankfully. Still definitely one of the times it would have been good to have a dad around.

You're kidding, right?

Please tell me you're kidding.

I'm curcumsized, and it wasn't until sex ed classes in 5th grade that I realized it wasn't natural. Even then all the illustrations in the anatomy stuff showed no foreskin, so its possible that if no one mentioned it someone could not know.

cock is all different like:

http://www.newforeskin.biz/CI/CIchart.htm

How about the head? all different as well?

You know, I'm usually not a board police, but you'd probably get more useful replies on other boards such as:

General Board - if you just want a shark feeding fest

How To Cafe - if you are trying to find out what is normal out there

The Playground - if you are trying to hook up with someone but are still shy about posting an ad in the personals

And yes, different heads. Although in this case, they do feel different :D

I've heard that, too, but it seems to me that in the absence of a sizable group of males cut as adults, any theories on that score were just guessing.

I was cut at birth. How the hell could I possibly know if I would have been more, or less, sensitive left natural?

Same question applies to those who've never been cut. Unless you've experienced both states, as an adult, how could you ever know?

BF is Norwegian and cut for some religious reason (though he is not Jewish but Protestant.) He says he feels less sensitivity on the tip than on the rest of his penis and that on days where he doesn't wear underwear it is more sensitive than others. I'm English and I was surprised when I saw it, I'd never seen one like that before. Like another poster said it is really really unusual here.

I would never have it done to one of my kids, though.

I think it's just interesting how the vast majority (99.99%) of all the sex toys (mainly dildos but some vibrators) i've seen for women that are replicated after actual penises... are uncut.

However, I went to an adult film store by my house about 2 months ago and saw, for the first time in my life, an "uncut" dildo. It was a dildo replica of an uncircumcised penis. Just kind of interesting to think that (at least in America) the sex toy industry considers circumcised penises the norm.

hey just asking around:

Do you think boys should be circumcised or left natural at birth?

Most say cut of course.

It's child abuse, pure and simple. Blasphemous, barbaric and uncivilised. No excuses.

If we were talking about female circumcision, then no-one would disagree. Now, I know that female circumcision is much more radical and removes a substantial amount of nerve tissue, but the principle is the same. And before anyone starts on religious arguments, your religion tells you that your God made man in his image. Which means God has a foreskin. Who are you to tamper with God's creation, and God's image?

Left natural of course. No question about this in my mind. It goes against our society's morals and laws to subject an infant to unnecessary surgery. I have found no argument why routine infant circumcising makes sense.

His body, his choice.

that's my answer, and I am sticking to it.

I disagree with it, but "child abuse" is both too far to go and trivialises genuine abuse. Aren't there health benefits from circumcision? And it's part of Jewish law that's based off the Torah, so blasphemous is way too far.

well, my religion tell me that god specifies that circumcision is to happen. genisis 17:10-14.

in fact, ill link it:

ETA: one irrelevant circumcision thread is quite enough in BDSM talk

Cut or Intact.

Somehow my answer to some of the misconceptions about the issue of cut or intact did not go through. So here is a summary of what I said.

I am procircumcision. All the males in my extended family are circumcised. I am grateful to my parents for making this decision. And I am glad that my wife and I had our two sons, ages 4 and 10 to be circumcised.

Statistics: The number of circumcisions are on the rise, except for areas where the majority of Hispanic families culturally do not have their boys circumcised. Los Angeles and Miami are two examples. Caucasians, African Americans, and Asian Americans circumcise at the same rate. The only statistics we have are from some private hospitals. But mothers leave the hospital the next day. The infant boy then is circumcised later as an outpatient in the same hospital or in clinics where costs are less or in doctors offices. The overall view is that 85% to 90% of infant boys are circumcised each year. 80% of all American male infants, boys, adolescents, and men are circumcised.

Hygiene: For intact boys and men, washing under the foreskin two or three times a day, does away with the fishy smell. But it is interesting that in the UK a medical survey found that only about 25% of uncircumcised boys bother to wash under the foreskin. Soap and water does nothing to kill bacteria or viruses. It has been proven that circumcision helps to prevent STDs and HIV/AIDS in sexual intercourse between an infected woman with a circumcised male.

Sexual life: For the male, circumcision enhances erotic feelings in the penis. The nerves endings with the cut foreskin are reactivated in the shaft of the penis, the flaring of the size of the glans when released from a tight foreskin also keeps its softness if washed in the shower daily, and the sensitivty of the frenum area beneath the glans where it joins the shaft is still erotic.

Pain: Emla cream or a shot to the penile nerve prevent pain. My two sons who had the shot to the nerve and slept through the procedure that last only 10 or 15 minutes.

Reasons for circumcision: cultural, better looks, hygiene simplified, prevents bacterial and infections from viruses and also tight foreskins, etc. and for Jewish infant boys, religious reasons and for all Muslim boys and adolescents hygiene and Islamic culture. High rates also for Filipino, South Korean, and South Sea Islands (especially Polynesians, including Hawaiians). About 99% for the latter groups, mainly for cultural reasons.

Infants, children, and most adolescents need parental decisions of all kinds. It is rediculous to exclude circumcision.

Although I am procircumcision, I respect it if parents decide to leave their infants in tact. The vocal minority anticirc groups that prefer the latter say there is no reason to circumcise male infants, boys, adolescents, and men. They have no right to demand that circumcisions not take place. It is only a matter between physician and the parents, no one else.

My gratefully intact son, now (16), has never had hygiene problems. The obsessiveness the media would have us buy into about washing and retracting can in fact, be harmful.

I do not believe that circumcision increases sexual sensation in the penis but just the opposite.

while i respect your views there is the story of the famous doctor who removed foreskins as a profession and some how preserved each and every one of them,Before he was to retire he went to a famous cobbler and said 'this (collection of foreskins ) is my lifes work and i want you to make some thing memorable out of them".The man asked the good docter to return after a week and then handed over a small purse."This was my life's work and i wanted something memorable made but you have made a stupid purse "shouted the aging specialist.
"Well it is a memorable purse you just stroke it and it becomes a suitcase"
so in any case you need to make memorable suitcases even now dont you

Why the fuck are we still talking about this?

Nobody is going to change anyones mind.

Hmmm I wonder if there has been a change over time in the UK. I'm in my early 40s and have only ever had ONE uncut lover - all the rest have been circumcised.
