thank you for this thread! i have posted a bit in other areas, but have been lurking and reluctant here on the bdsm threads.

there are probably a couple of reasons for this...

i am still figuring out how i fit in to this world. i know when i first started reading posts here, i felt like a kid looking through the picture window at something i desperately wanted to be a part of. i have had a small amount of real life experience, which only served to make that desire stronger.

i have read some of the posts that mention a 'clique' aspect, but i think i would identify more with the posts that say this is like a family. as a beginner, i felt intimidated by how everyone seemed to be familiar with each other. but this is completely related to my own insecurities, not to any exclusion attitudes of anyone here. it is a family that i look at and want to belong to.

*blush* i am afraid i will not say things that are interesting. i am humbled by the often quite eloquent posts i see here.

i worry i have no idea what i am talking about (specific to bdsm topics) becuase at times i simply feel confused. i know what feels right when i see or experience it, but often have trouble expressing it.

well...i hope this wasn't too long. i think i have been bottled up wanting to post for a while...

I've been to a lovely party tonight and realize I am actually not even remotely sober, lol.

One of my oldest girlfriends had an all girls party. Well she's not old, just we have been friends since forever.

It was so much fun, but as someone pointed out we talked a little too much about our kids, of course. they seem to take over your life, don't they.
