I meant that you and Cyn have a mutual interest in triathlons.

Hmm... now I'm curious... talk about turning the tables, lol.

No your right it was Cyn....i got confused when i replied..... LOL I'm getting old, sorry.

Hi RHM. I do have an interest in tri's, and reading and flirting are rather high on my list of personal favorites, too. ;)

I started out with sprint tri's and have recently branched out into half-marathons and century bike rides. I was hoping to complete an olympic distance tri this summer, but due to recent job changes I may not have access to my swim training facility for much longer. I'm kind of bummed about that, but it's the least of our worries at the moment.

I saw your thread. That's wonderful that your husband is open to exploring with you. I am also in a long-term marriage (one kiddo) and my husband is supportive but not interested in becoming a dominant. I am exploring on my own, and I've found Lit to be a trememdous resource. Since I'm book oriented, I've also found the library to be very helpful. The important thing to remember is that there is no right way, just what's right for you. Good luck on your journey!

Cyn, I started do sprint tri's 2 summers ago and i was planning on trying to do a half marathon this spring and branching out to olympic distance this summer....we really do seem to have a kot in common... :)
Thats a bummer that you won't be near your pool....i love to swim and would go nuts if i couldn't
Hubby and I are doing well, I think. He is really embracing this and has gotten us both some books at the library and i ordered a few too. But I'm really trying not to judge or have preconceived ideas and letting us try to grow together. So far, so good.

*waves at rinka*

Hello, my love. Hope you're feeling better.

I am, thanks, sweetie!

I felt so good I went out tonight. First to the movies with a friend, then for a glass of wine. A little later two other friends joined and we had another drink.
Perfect.

I hadn't been out for days, so I needed that. Have plans to see other friends tomorrow and Sunday too, so I hope I'm well enough for a full social weekend. :)

Very cool, RHM, on all counts. The half-marathon is a much more do-able distance for me. I am not a natural runner, but I've done three so far and have gotten better each time. I'm planning to do two this year, one in June and one in November. I've noticed that the distance cycling made a huge difference in my overall endurance and the running has improved tremendously as a result. I'm hoping to fit at least a sprint tri in sometime this summer, along with a couple of century bike rides. We live near a lake so I can still swim there once the water warms up, but ick, not my favorite thing. I much prefer the pool and being able to see the bottom. I'm slow but steady in the pool or the ocean, but I tend to panic in lakes. lol
