interesting thing about child molesters/rapists/kidnappers... i think they tend to get the most abuse (call it "love" if you'd like) in prison, don't they? i'm not sure but i think i heard this stat somewhere along the way.

Yeah, I'm sure they get theirs in prison, but if it were my kid, I'd want to be the one to give it to 'em.

BTW--my next-door neighbor has a backhoe and a bulldozer. Just sayin'.

to answer my own question: yes, i could. however, in every situation i can conceive that would lead me to that thinking, it's in the context of vengeance. i won't dress it up as justice: i can make the words fit into my mouth, but they don't fit well.

i have no illusions that anything i would do is particularly pretty or that my entire motivation isn't revenge. i refuse to sully the word "justice" by seeking incorrectly to apply it to what i would do under such circumstances.

Actually, a friend and I came up with the perfect way to kill someone and get away with it, without anyone ever knowing. Takes a lot of time, pre-planning, but you wont go to jail!!

there was this guy that my mom dated a few years back and i found out later that he used to beat the shit out of her. i would kill him in a heartbeat if i could get away with it. other than that... no.

If I had children, yes, I would go for the jugular if someone messed with them. Same applies if someone tried to harm my parents. But to murder someone just because I don't like them, no. It's not worth the consequences if you get caught.

If somebody had done me an unforgivable wrong (like killing my wife)? Oh, yes.
