For those who assume supporting a Trump presidency over a Biden one means being a MAGA Trumper....

And fickle public opinion is the basis of truth? You realize this is exactly why the founders openly opposed democracy and gave us a representative republic.
This you?
So you are smarter than the massive majority of America who rejected you and elected Republicans across the board in almost every race. Interesting. We're you always this much of an egotistical prick?

It says if the power isn't given explicitly to federal government it is owned by the states and individual citizens. Period. You are a commie fool
I should not need to post this again. Unfortunately, I need to. Read it this time.

Tenth Amendment

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Sixteenth Amendment

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

-----------

In this case the Congress, which speaks for the United States, does "have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes."

the introduction of this new principle of representative democracy has rendered useless almost every thing written before on the structure of government: and in a great measure relieves our regret if the political writings of Aristotle, or of any other antient, have been lost, or are unfaithfully rendered or explained to us. my most earnest wish is to see the republican element of popular controul pushed to the maximum of it’s practicable exercise. I shall then believe that our government may be pure & perpetual. Accept my respectful salutations.

His tell was when he rejected the majority opinion in one post and followed up with a post about how the majority opinion was smarter.than you.

He believes that the US is a theocracy.
JaySecrets would like for voting rights to be restricted to rich people. When the United States Constitution was ratified voting rights were restricted to rich people. Most who fought in the Continental Army for independence were not allowed to vote.

Did I ever say I want voting rights restricted to the rich? No. And it wasn't the rich. It was those who had property. Big difference. But there is a point to the fact that those who don't have financial skin in the game tied to the nation's success are far more likely to vote themselves money out of the public coffers. That's how the bulk of career politicians (on both sides, D & R) got rich off politics. The most glaring being Bernie, the Clintons, the Obamas, and the Kennedys. At least the Bush family has a ranch to run. If I don't have financial investment in your company, should I be allowed to vote in your board meetings to vote as a consumer on your company practices?

The Bible cannot be God's word because too much of it is historically false.
Cite chapter and verse please. Because people have tried to disprove it and failed miserably. In fact the most famous Christian apologists are former atheist intellectuals who tried to disprove the Bible, realized they couldn't and ended up converts.

It is not unusual to be smarter than the majority.
SO..... In one breath you cite the "majority opinion" on taxing the rich to excess as an argument for wealth redistribution. In the next breath you say it's not uncommon to be smarter than the majority, and that the majority that disagrees with you is wrong. Do you not see your own hypocrisy in this?

And are you in fact saying that you are smarter than most Americans who voted you and your ilk out of power? Just want to confirm how egotistical you really are.

The majority called it a REPUBLIC. And that is what informed the content. Jefferson was in the minority with his democratic leanings. the SMALL minority.

There was never a global flood, the Israelites were never in Egypt, there was never a united kingdom of Israel and Judah, and the first Roman census of Judea was not taken until ten years after King Herod the Great died.

There are also scientific errors and internal contradictions.

The U.S. is a democratic republic. As opposed to an aristocratic republic, like the old Republic of Venice, where only nobles could note.

typical maga can't read for shit.
Don't know. Don't care. There is no point to the question. And I am answering responses from 4 people at once. While doing real work, this being the side bar multitask. You are answering responses from one. So if I miss a statement or question, I still am proving far more literate than you. Particularly given the substance of the answers instead of your bumper stickers and soundbites.

A republic is a country without an hereditary monarch. When the Constitution was written this was an important distinction, but it is not now. A monarchy can be a democracy, like the UK. A republic can be a dictatorship, like the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was, and like Russia is.

There is nothing in the definition of "republic" rules out democracy.

holy fuck. your excuse for not being able to read for shit is because you also want multi task for shit too?
The moment you erase the Divine and then reinterpret the Divine Book through a humanist worldview. It is not dealing honestly with the text or claims because you aren't taking the text at fac e value and judging it on that. You are judging based on your opinions ABOUT the text you have barely read.
how do you know what i have read? fucking fake christian.

Every one of those statements are false and long disproven. Every culture on the planet has a version of the flood story, most of them global, and many of them, utterly disconnected from each other, mention a Noah or some version of him. The United Kingdom of Israel is recorded in several nations' records. There is tons of evidence of Israel in Egypt (posted one of the links for that data in an earlier claim you made to that effect). There were SEVERAL Herods. That was a title, not a name. And there is in fact very solid evidence and record of that census in question. And the Bible, while not being scientific, is 100% accurate in what it says about science, and there is NOT ONE internal contradiction.

They actually called democracy Mobocracy (their term) and considered it toxic and dangerous to any free society.
