death of a rock god (discussion, plotting, scheming)

Lets see...

It's been a few months since Mikey's hook-up with Allison, but she still comes to all the local shows and usually flashes her tits at him at some point.

It's been a couple weeks since Mikey and Jenn broke up, so that's pretty fresh.

I just had an idea to do this thing in chapters, as a way to keep it better organized. Cool? Possibly even individual threads for each chapter, could work pretty well.

I like the chapter idea. And Allison has some tits to really flash. So how far are we going in the first chapter? Will we go all the way to the murder?

I'm definitely envisioning much shorter chapters. Each one focused on just a few characters and typically ending with a smoking hot sex scene, while also furthering the plot along a bit.

This will give us many chances to explore all kinds of different kinks, fetishes, and perversions, of course. We should probably add those kinds of things to our descriptions of our characters as well.

So lets take a look at the bigger storyline before splitting it up chapter by chapter.

Basically...
They sign record deal.
They record album.
They go on their big tour.
Mikey is killed before the very last huge show of the tour.

So thats for Part 2 right? Your overall setup at the beginning made it seem that the first part would be the analysis of the crime scene and then everything else would be in part 2 almost as a flashback. Are we going to do it differently or are we just setting up part 2 first because it happens first chronologically?

Definitely.

I'm kinda thinking that instead of "Parts", start each chapter with a scene of the investigation, finding a clue of some sort, and then the rest of the chapter explains the true meaning behind that clue, where it came from, something like that.

It occurs to me that I am approaching this like a novelist. I hope i'm not overwhelming you with this. I would be open to doing something simpler.

I do think that is too much. I say we either do investigation first, backstory second or the other way around. Do them in big chunks.
