You sound like you have it together girlinacage, please permit me to make the following observation with no negative inference towards your competency or that of your partner. As you used the term 'drunk' I feel obligated to comment.

Alcohol & Breath Play Don't Mix

I am not going to mince around the semantics of 'threatening to choke' to the potential of 'actually choke'. You are the best judge of what is entailed in your own private life. I agree, however when alcohol is involved you are playing a wild card.

I tried to be clear in my post, my intention is not to castigate you in any form for your choices.

Even in standard every day pursuits that which constitutes as risk factor is compounded by the use of alcohol. You can look across a broad non BDSM related spectrum to see the results. I have seen it firsthand more times than I care to mention. Use a dodgy can opener, type a sentence and see how fine motor skills are suddenly impaired after even a small amount of alcohol.

Would an extra glass bring on the vigour to take it further than threatening ?
