Does it make you cringe?

reading outloud

I read it outloud.

Sometimes I record it and post it on Lit.

I let a young sailor in Florida called Laurie read most of my newer stuff. She's biased, as she likes the way I write.

I have sent Laurel a tape of a lot of my poems but she is still plucking up the courage to let the rest of the world hear it.

I write for two reasons. The first I like doing it. The second I hope others enjoy it too.

I've just listened to myself reading The Travelling Folk, Part 3, Glastonbury Games. It was the first time in nearly two years.

The story I still thought was good. The reading could have been a lot better. In my defence it was recorded in an all night Petrol Station while I was on the night shift.

There used to be a group of prostitutes that I would let into the shop after hours on their way back from plying their trade in the larger towns to the north. Now there is a story I should write up one day.
