Lol, I prefer leather buckling restraints too. Now occasionally, I like to play with colored ropes, just because the sub can look so beautiful tied up in them, but I'm no expert at knot-tying either. The restraints save time anyway and I usually prefer them just for that.
Interestingly, I'm not an Alpha Female myself either - at least not to the rest of the world. One person described me more as the Clan Mariarch type. I'm the leader within my own little group/family, take care of them, and that's it. What they didn't realize was that I'd been responsible for "mine and me" since I was 24. I'm sure that must have had a lot to do with me becoming a domme.
