Dungeon Fantasy (Group Game Recruitment Thread) - Come on in!

Shit, I plan to start the game with No recovering from a night of sex, wenches, and booze.

Just a side note, I realized the way Negi has been reacting to people TOTALLY contradicts the personality and quirks I gave her in her sketch. So, as of right now, the only one she follows around like a freaking puppy dog is Aim, as he is an instigator of her rebellion.

Character Name: Grymm
Age: 21
Race: Tiefling
Gender: Male
Height: 5'11
Weight: 180
Hair Color: black, billowing behind his horns
Eye Color: White, but can shift at will
Visual Description: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net...g_PHB5e.png/revision/latest?cb=20140911055430
Written Description: Scar across one eye, and a small pair of horns jutting out above them, and purple skin. A long tail trails out behind him under his robes.
Level: 1
Class: Mage
Abilities:
1. Fireball (Of course): Snapping lights a small orb of fire in his hands, which he can throw. Upon impact, it detonates, engulfing an area in fire for a short time. He has the ability to bend the flames around up targets of his choice, allowing him to shoot a fireball into an enclosed space and prevent injury to his friends.
2. Engtangle: Upon uttering the proper words, vines shoot up around the target and lash around them, holding them in place, and preventing them from attacking. up to 2 people can be entangled at once.
Skills:
1. Tri-dexterous: many spells have a somatic requirement, so becoming ambidextrous is one commonly taken path for any Mage. With Grymm, his tail gives him a third appendage, and he has grown accustomed to using it as a third arm, from things like holding gear, or preparing food, to tripping an opponent if engaged in melee combat.
2. Herb collecting: as a Mage, he has always been interested in magical effects... Even if the cause of those effects are perfectly natural. He has the knowledge of many plants, which are toxic, which are curative, and which can be very easily lit ablaze.
Weapon: Staff
Personality: Very suspicious of others. He will almost always opt to stay at the back of the group, in the need of a hasty get away. In contrast, anyone who shares his almost obsessive love of alcohol will be immediately smiled upon, and once initial fears are crossed, he's a very loyal ally. If he believes he can trust someone, he will go to great lengths to protect them.
Quirks: Tends to be overly suspicious of people, and always assumes the worst until they've shared a beer. Might not be the most clean peron himself, but will hesitate before wronging another without moral (or monetary) cause.
Likes: loves food, shooting fireballs, and rewards. This includes money, women, more food, better gear, anything that could possibly be given to him after properly earning it. In a person, reliability. Doesn't care how low you stoop, as long as you're consistent about it.
Dislikes: Liers, water, racists
Inventory: Empty

I am going to assume that this profile isn't complete because your character is missing a personality.

The skills section are for practical skills. They are not super powers or magic.

So you need to give your character skills that can help around camp and promote survival of the group. Maybe knowledge the others don't have since he is a mage.

I just realized that my character doesn't have any actual medical skills besides her abilities. Should I do something about that?

Fixed. Better?

I love this as a skill! I didn't even think how handy it would be to have knowledge of the plants around us!

Good gods, we're all gonna be too drunk to do anything

If you think it will benefit the group, then sure.

Admiral you're approved.

I'm going to start writing up the IC. Everyone prepare to be staying at a tavern. The tavern will also serve breakfast but it's not complimentary.

Right, changed intimidation to basic medical skills and bargaining with general persuasion skills to include bargaining, threatening, lying, etc. So now you don't have to be touched by Cthulhu every time you wipe your arse with poison ivy by accident

Hot damn, the IC looks great!
Btw, do we go with a posting order, or just take care to allow everyone to keep up?

So no one is entirely held back. You can post every two other people. So if you post, you wait for two posts, and then you can post again if the person you're directly interacting with hasn't already posted.

SPEAKING of that I need to add a feature to that IC. Tagging so everyone can keep track of where everyone is, who is being spoken to, and who is being mentioned.

So I added the tagging system on the IC. It's just something you copy/paste, fill in, and put at the top of every single one of your posts.

Also, we're going to try to move through the game together. So we'll be starting Day 1 in the morning. I may permit some people to jump ahead in time to a scene that may have been private or personal between two characters, but just let me know if you plan to do that and with whom.

Actually it's late, I'll get a post out tomorrow. I got to get up at ugly hours in the morning. But everyone feel free to post and enjoy yourselves. :)

Sorry I'm late! Getting to posting now. My day has been hell already and this is the first chance I have had to get online yet.

Hehehe
On a scale of 1 to 10, how hard did Grymm facepalm, Admiral?

Pretty Hard. I imagined him looking into the camera like he was on the office, but I figured that he wouldn't watch enough tv to know what the office was

Oh gods, now I'm gonna think of this entire thing as being like the office, with all the characters occasionally just sitting down to talk to the camera XD
