Dungeon Fantasy (Group Game Recruitment Thread) - Come on in!

You know, we should toss in a round table thing like on "That 70's Show" just for good measure. LOL

Quick question, how is this going to be working? is Hot Cider in charge?

Why wouldn't I be in charge?

For how the quest board works, since most people are wanting to do the rat quest first, then they round up the party members, and I'll write a scenario post introducing the quest and it will go from there.

The tavern is just home base, where everyone reports to before and after a mission to prep, relax, or chit-chat. That is if No doesn't get banned from the place lol at least.

Edit: Also, if you meant IC-wise, who is in charge that depends on who takes on that role. So far it seems like the knight is for the Rat Infestation mission.

Hey, Ico, I was just reading a post you put up. I think you misread the guard duty quest. It is the king requesting a guard for the princess and queen. Not the bridge lords. If you read it properly, it says in bold "King's Request". Just saying.

Wait, I'm confused now. Is the first ad us guarding the queen and princess for the king, or for the bandits?

Quote:

The Fat King - "Oy, that Fat Willy up there on tha' bridge thinks he's jus' gonna let us rot! We, the Bridge Lords are gonna show his fat arse a thing or two. Y'see the slobs actualleh plannin' ta' leave his castle for once, and he's gonna leave his women at 'ome. Most ov'tha' guards gonna be escortin' tha' king, which means we're gonna sneak in, steal some loot, and some pussy while we at it. Maybe use tha' bitches fo' ransom!"
King's Request: Guard the Queen and Princess.
Difficulty (# of party members needed): 3
Reward: Plenty of Gold to get the party to the next location comfortably, food, wine, and three days at an Inn.
Level Up: Yes.

Note that it's the King's request, and that we're guarding his family.

I'm going to be designing the Rat King IC post, so be prepared. Shit is about to go down. :)

So as for having showed interest in the King's Quest, despite the hypotheticals raised against it, I have Vynn and Aim. There is a spot for one more person, but I am making Ico the team captain for that mission due to initial interest, so he can pick the third party member.

damn, sorry I haven't been replying... for some reason, I wasn't getting any notifications. Weird. Gotta catch up now, sorry about that!

Oh, shit. I completely misread that quest... sorry >.<
well, this is a perfect example of Vynn being an idiot who thinks she's high and mighty, so it actually works out pretty well XD

I got a post for No in the works, but I started passing out while writing it so I decided to stop. Work kept me all day, so I'm going to sleep because I may have to do it all over again. I'll see if I can get the No post finished in the morning before work.

All right; I got up the next post. There's been a change of strategy! I'll correct any errors later. I'm off to work!

Hey guys, I have a friend who would like to jump in after this quest. A dark elf assassin. Just wondering if I can invite him this late in? Are we still O/A?

Character Name: Haldir
Alias: The Toymaker
Age: N/A
Race: Dark Elf
Gender: Male
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 100 lbs
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Purple eyes, with flecks of gold
Visual Description: Just a normal day at the office
Written Description: Scar riddled body from early years of training and working. Tiny but puckered marks that suggest sever wounds mostly on his arms and torso.
Level: 1
Class: Assassin
Abilities:
1. Hawkeye - Allowing him perfect aim. He never misses a target without the intention of doing so. He is known to be a swift marksman and is not patient should he be outmaneuvered, not that it happens.
2. Silent Step - He has mastered the art of not being seen, much less heard, no matter the terrain. His steps are light, almost as if he floats on the ground, making it impossible to run from him because a target never knows which direction he will come.
Skills:
1. Foraging - Recognizes good and bad plants, mostly of the edible kind, so he is able to keep himself alive on plants alone, should the need arise.
2. Speech - Able to talk his way out of any situation. Has often avoided prison time without having to pay a singe coin to the guard.
Weapon: Bladed Chain Whip
Personality: Quiet, but sarcastic when he finally opens his mouth. Haldir is the type that will shy away from social interaction, though he is not one to turn down the company of a beautiful red head.
Quirks: Has a soft spot for mouthy, red headed females as this perfectly describes his former partner. Likes to play with his targets for a bit before carrying out his orders, thus earning him the nickname, The Toymaker
Likes: Good mead and sharp blades, oh, and red heads.
Dislikes: Law abiding citizens
Inventory: Empty

Hey, I have an idea! Let's have Haldir make a badass fucking entrance!
We all go through the mission, and we get the rat king to the last of its strength, and then Haldir pops up out of nowhere and slices it open for the killing blow, whatcha think?

That can happen or he can help out the team in their most dire moments because the Rat King controls the rats. It's not much of a spoiler. Who else would control the rats? lol

No is going to be having a bad day. He's going to be separated from his team once he's outside, which means they'll lose their warrior.

On that note, though, I would like to point out that podman did NOT use the tagging system, also, and this is my personal opinion, but forcing No to be separated from the group, I would consider that god modding, but that is just my opinion.

Whoops, I forgot to do the tagging for my post, editing it in now.

On that note, when I pointed No out I only meant for him to be pushed out for just long enough to spew his flames so he wasn't setting the tavern on fire, then bring him back in. I didn't mean to god mod, and I'm sorry if my action came across as that.

You didn't god-mode. I was just hinting at something that is going to happen in my future post, and you'll see why.
