Sorry folks! I got claimed by an impromptu nap, woke up with a start and stabbed myself in the chin with my nail.

I don't watch the Good Wife myself, I'm currently marathoning Game of Thrones in preparation for next week.

Starry, AHS is great. I binge watched the first series about a fortnight ago. Scared myself stupid but it's very enjoyable. I knit three scarves the last time I binged on Firefly- good times.

That actually made me laugh out loud. Brilliant. (Though I hope you've managed to separate nail and chin by now, otherwise you'll look like some kind of mutant.)

True - though it can be taken a little too far.

Oh my God, I'm crying xD I actually can't breathe jfc what is this! I... I'm going to stick with more orthodox methods of knitting thank you

Yaaay I'm so excited to continue GoT!

I do try and knit when watching my shows, but then if I get too into it I accidentally stab myself. Or worse, the stitches fall out.

It seems knitting is more dangerous than I thought. Still, at least if you get a really severe wound you'll be able to stitch yourself back together.

Oh there's a lot of tea drinkers around here.

winks

Ooooh! We should have a tea party in the Lounge!

And to keep kinda on topic...

Any Good Wife fans around? Was more than a little shocked by the sudden exit of a main character! :(

Me. Same. Still teary over it. Currently rewatching earlier episodes in the season but even that's hard.

Definitely excited about Games of Thrones over here too!

bounces and sips her own tea

Can't wait!

We (meaning I) got more emotional than I thought too!
It was a real shock. They did it well and while I hate that he's gone, I think it'll work really well for the show in the long run.

I know. :( They were at a place where they couldn't really do anything else, it was such a stalemate. I just can't let it go yet, I suppose.

Me either. :(

I love that the show will carry on but...

sighs

...it'll be so weird without him.

Just caught up with Hannibal. Ugh. UGH, I SAY. This season is frustrating and stressing me out so effin' much. And those promos for the next ep? NO

Started watching True Detective. I never got the whole Matthew McConaughey thing but I do now. Yum.

Neither did I, but the McConaissance has definitely changed that! Haven't started it yet but plan to soon.

I just finished watching Spirited Away again. I LOVE Miyazaki. And I think some of the smog must have got in my eyes...

Oh, you are wonderful. I absolutely love Miyazaki. I watch Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle every couple of weeks - they're just blissful.

There's a big Miyazaki-sized hole in my pop cultural references. I've only watched "Kiki's messenger service" and "The cat prince" (?).

Well now I'm teary-eyed AND blushing, which makes me look like some sort of menopausal, gin-addled empty-nester (what's new? Ed.).

Not half so wonderful as you, you gorgeous Irish scamp. Old beardy boyfriend is a very lucky fella. And on Miyazaki - have you seen Grave of the Fireflies? It's as sad as When The Wind Blows, but even more beautiful. Don't watch it until you are absolutely euphoric, because it will bring you down inexorably - but SO stunningly drawn and written.
