Good fresh green beans are a thing of beautyI catered a motorcycle rally and the first night’s dinner was chicken, baked potatoes, and steamed green beans.
The number of adult men that came up and wanted to know what spices I’d put on the green beans was astounding. They’d never tasted any so good before, blah blah.
The answer: nothing. Not even salt. They’d just never had green beans that hadn’t been cooked so long that the flavor was boiled out of them.
