For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

My head is spinning with this whole Ukrainian attack into Kursk Oblast. It seems like the Ukrainians have launched a strategic-level attack here with a force of up to 25K, or a small NATO Corps sized, incursion into Kursk Oblast that is moving between 7 & 10 km a day and has now penetrated at least 25-30km inside Russia and is not stopping. A ZSU Bde has between 4 to 9 battalions per brigade with 6 Bn as average, so ~18 Bn seem involved. Ukrainian sources are largely zip-lipped about this so it's all conjecture based on very limited information

According to the Russian social media, Russian military intelligence (GUR) has ‘identified’ elements of up to five brigades of the ZSU involved in this operation, including the ‘elite’ 22nd Mechanised Brigade, equipped with (US-made) M2 or M3 Bradley IFV's and another brigade, equipped with (US-made) Stryker armored personnel carriers.

This attack, which is not a minor cross border raid, presents Russia with a nested series of logistical and strategic / tactical dilemma's for Russia in order to give AFU the initiative. No time to write all this up tonight, but tomorrow night, with luck.....

8 Brigades and BUILDING...this isn't a raid. It's a major attack and the Russians have nothing to stop it with
82 air assault
80 air assault
22 mech inf
arty bde
103 TDB
88 mech inf
Georgia legion
Special forces rgt

Before the operation, there was not a single hint. Not a single one at all. Not even a hint. After the operation began, the first information appeared many hours later. Now, during the operation, no one knows for sure the true situation, the depth of the breakthrough, or the state of affairs. There are no speeches from Ukrainian officials or the command. No one knows or understands the true intent of the operation. The enemy does not know and does not understand what is happening.

All the information we have comes from enemy open sources. The enemy whines endlessly that they cannot understand where the main attack might be. This is the real fog of war. This is the first time I'm getting that no one knows anything (including me, of course).

Sun Tzu, if he could see it, would envy this operation. It's brilliant."

It's a Pandora's box! And all we can do is speculate.

Look at how this Russian unit is mechanized. Do you remember those kilometer long columns of tanks and armored vehicles in 2022? Now? Nine tactical trucks, with three pulling towed guns, two with Grad rockets, one command , one cargo, one tanker truck, a wrecker, and a huge line of Loaf vans and SUV's. This is the attrition of Russian motor transport in a single video.

Also, the level of training. Soft skin light infantry in open terrain, lined up nose to tail along the side of a road. It might look calm but this is the manifestation of panic at the top. They have no equipment or armour, no ammunition and its clear no one knows what is happening and there's no-one experienced in command or they wouldn't be bunched up like this. This is a target waiting to be spotted.

And they are being sent stop actual ZSU mechanized battalions? Without artillery support, which they more than likely won't get because it'll be interdicted, they're already dead.

Rybar saying that Ukr has developed new mobile offensive tactics that are being used in Kursk: drones in waves, like phased swarms, each with a specific purpose, and the final wave being drones tightly integrated with assault troops.

Combined arms drones with assault troops = C21st Blitzkrieg.

Photo circulating of Ukrainian forward elements reaching Lyubimovka Kursk Oblast placing the furthest line of Ukrainian advance less than 30 km from Kursk.

Ukrainian F-16 are flying over the occupied left bank of Kherson region. S-400 batteries are currently evacuating Sevastopol in occupied Crimea to protect the Kerch Straits Bridge. Ukrainian F-16's over occupied Kherson would reflect the annihilation of Russian VKS ground based surface to air missile batteries there and the withdrawal of VKS jets from bases in ATACMS range. Russian ground based air defense has been attrited so badly in the Russo-Ukrainian War that it can no longer defend Sevastopol? The last stages of Lanchester Square Collapse for Russian strategic ground based air defense has arrived.

Now, the Kursk offensive has penetrated to within 30km of Kursk - a real kick to the testicles for Putin, and if the Ukrainians can swing right and cut off the Russian forces in Kharkiv, we are talking military disaster as well. Russian military HAS to respond and the only major forces nearby are in Kharkiv and the Donbas. Pull those and the Donbas offensive is neutered - if Ukraine has gone into Kursk up to a small Corps (25k men, 8 Bdes - or more), Russian will need 100k men with whatever armor and artillery they can pull to support them. Kherson is left hanging, S400's are pulling out of Sevastopol.

Ukraine has enough units in reserve for a sudden move across the Dnipro, and Russia will not be in a position to reinforce the defending units because priority has to go to Kursk. Thunder Run south east into Crimea and East to Mariupol coming?

Pandora's box has been opened.....

Ukrainian forces have reportedly reached the town of Anastasyevka (no idea where that is) in the Kursk region where a large ambush on a Russian military convoy took place and now a shooting battle is raging. Russian sources also report that Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups are already nearing the Kursk NPP. (Nuclear Power Plant). Jake Sullivan and the de-escalation clique re watching their vision collapse before their very eyes. No off-ramp for Putin now.

Updates are coming in so fast. ZSU troops are barely 15 km from the Kustchakov NPP now. Russian command is trying to to rally units in Bolshoy Soldatskoye. Big group of Ukrainian troops and vehicles is concentrated in Rylsky and the opening of a new front is expected shortly. New Ukrainian brigades are consolidate the positions already gained and reports are of more ZSU Bdes in action. Sudzha's vital rail supply line for Russian troops that runs parallel to the border has been cut and its gas pumping station supplyimg 50% of gas to EU is in the hands of the ZSU. A desperate situation for Putin's army.

MSM reports are way behind what's being reported on Twitter. US Admin has been told nothing. The White House said the United States - Ukraine’s biggest backer - had no prior knowledge of the attack. Washington has asked Ukraine for details on their military objectives, said a US official, speaking on condition of anonymity, on Thursday. And THAT is why they weren't told a thing. US Admin leaks like a sieve - ZSU has learned that lesson. “They are operating within the area north of the border where we have told them they can use U.S.-provided weapons to defend themselves against Russian attacks,” the official noted. LOL. Sure, baby. Sure.

Glory to Ukraine. Slava Ukraini!

Detailed video of a Russian military column near Rylsk which was targeted tonight. Dozens of Russian soldiers were killed during the transportation.
At least 3 or 4 trucks full of dead Russian soldiers. and thats just the ones that weren't burned down to ash together with most of the trucks we saw
a HIMARS strike. There is no real damage to the road and a lot of trucks have flat tires. Not all are burned. Also, a total lack of craters.

Why we’re MiGHT be in…

Did I miss the US putting boots on the ground?

Dipshit!

And why would we ? One day under our Air Force and the Russians a fucking TOAST

Now… what would it take to really spark WWlll? That!! Putin would create a blackened field behind him

Russian Fool!!

In Kurchatov, Russia, home to the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), explosions have been reported as Ukrainian Defense Forces quickly closing in on the city. Strong blasts were heard, and air defenses are active in the area. A UAV struck a power substation near the Kursk NPP, Russian media outlet. Alexei Smirnov, the Russian governor of Kursk Oblast, said that a fire broke out at “a transformer substation” after “debris from a Ukrainian fixed-wing UAV” crashed into it. The power outage has affected the town of Kurchatov, where the Kursk NPP is located, as well as the settlements of Volokno, Vorozhnevo, and Priamitsyno. Additionally, the repost states that public transport in Kursk City has been down for over four hours, possibly due to an electricity deficit in the region.

Ukrainian forces are reportedly within a few dozen kilometers of Kurchatov and the Kursk NPP. Russia is now preparing to defend the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant as Ukrainian troops are approaching it, the independent Russian news outlet IStories reported. According to Russian media, all access roads to the nuclear plant have been urgently blocked. Everything at the nuclear power plant's units under construction has been de-energized, and construction workers have left the site, according to Bloknot. The management recommended that the plant's employees take vacations at their own expense and evacuate their children, the source told IStories. The management does not provide the personnel with any instructions on the plan of action in case of a strike on the plant, while employees work in bunkers with thick walls, IStories reported, citing one of the plant's workers.

The mayor of Kurchatov declared a state of emergency, describing the situation as "tense." Notably, evacuation of residents has not yet begun, though many are leaving voluntarily as Ukrainian Armed Forces near the city.

The Kursk NPP is a critical Russian electrical power generator, supplying electricity for railway lines and for industry. Taking the Kursk NPP offline would be a HUGE win for Ukraine, enabling them to also burn out chunks of the electrical grid and even shut down the plant itself.

Oh boy. You ARE in denial. Face it. Tampon Tim is a lying fake gay horse semen drinking pedo who gets off on giving little boys tampons and let Minneapolis burn to try and score a few points against Trump.

Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang will NOT get your point.

😑
My point is that she can either be a clown, or have her ideas about war taken seriously.

She can't take off her big red nose for a few posts and expect us to keep a straight face as she pontificates about Ukraine.

It's like the whole song and dance she did about pretending to write as a liberal for a day -- as though the MAGA shit she normally posts isn't what she really believes -- as though just she's just a troll pretending to be MAGA for the lulz.

Girlfriend ... please. Do we look like we just dropped out of a coconut tree?

LOL. OTY. And very rarely my ideas. I take what I find, summarize and piece the pieces together as a gestalt, along with some extrapolation and speculation. Whether you keep a straight face or not is over to you. I'm more interested in the comments from the guys with solid military background and experience, as well as learning more as I go.

We very rarely get a chance to follow something epochal like this. Take me seriously or not, I don't mind either way. On Ukraine, I will (generally, not always, as is self evident) be serious altho of course my Biden is a useless POS and Sullivan is a testosterone-lacking limp dick attitude will shine through. Generally. That said, I WILL discuss anything regarding Ukraine seriously, regardless of how we interact on other threads on this board.

It's something I'm rather passionate about, and unlike a lot of people, I have put my money where my mouth is and contributed quite a few thousand $'s of my own and other peoples money to buying equipment for Ukrainian military units. Primarily Azov, of course, esp in Year One and the first winter, but also other units and to fund raisers for specific equipment purchases like drones, medical supplies, body armor, winter kit, night vision equipment and even an IFV fund raiser that bought 60 Spartan IFV's from the UK, altho my little contribution probably paid for a couple of bolts or something.

Point I'm making is, take me seriously or not, that's your call and I won't change, but on Ukraine, I am (usually) serious. Any other thread here - LOL. Guess. But yeah, NOT liberal. Genghis Khan, sorry, was a left wing fag pretty much summarizes my personal politics and I kneel in front of my painting of Saint Augustino and offer up a prayer for him daily.

Of course. LOL. Do I ever sound for a second that I could possibly remotely ever be a liberal?

Girlfriend ... please. Do we look like we just dropped out of a coconut tree?
rotflmao. Do you really want the answer? Nooooooooo, I can't say about look, but honestly, all the left wing stuff here is inane half the time, and totalitarian the other half. You do realize the revolution always eats it's own, and socialism always goes totalitarian.....and you have to be remarkably young and indoctrinated, or old and gullible, to go that left wing route.

Anyhow, mostly off topic for this thread, but hey, valid points. And now, back to the real subject. Applying terminal violence to Russians.....

This article is from zerohedge.com...... also the Russians have brought in 3 kilo class diesel-electric submarines carrying the kalibr cruise missile that Flys low and fast making it a very difficult item to stop....and bringing on line a new iskander missile, iskander 1000 new heavier warhead and a new more powerful engine that exceeds 3100 m/s
https://armyrecognition.com/news/ar...-threatens-ukrainian-f-16s-and-half-of-europe .....that and Russia is air lifting weapons into Iran, missile systems, electronic warfare systems, ect.....I'll add this as well... the Ukrainian regime estimates there are 800 thousand "draft dodgers" in and around Ukraine ( 800 thousand smart people) Lindsey Graham stated in an interview the Ukraine possess 5-7 trillion dollars worth of very important minerals that the United States wants to control... Basically the United States is using the good people of Ukraine to fight and die for corporate American business.... this is all about money.....when the good folk of Ukraine figure this out ..... I hope they hunt them down to the ends of the earth......https://www.rt.com/russia/602230-ukraine-workforce-draft-avoidance/.......
