For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

Does Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang know what incremental ratcheting up of military actions involves - and the reasons for it when confronting / engaging with a nuclear armed Russia???

Snorting to much pixie dust their, Laz. You're only fooling yourself if that's what you think.

As for Funding going to Ukraine? My ass. The Biden Administration has about 16 billion left to use on Ukraine (most of the 61 billion eventually passed was NOT for Ukraine!!!)
11 billion from the 61 billion was actually FOR Ukraine.
4 billion has been held over from 2023 because it WASN'T SPENT - so, you know, that whole artillery shortage thing? That was Biden. 'Ol Blood-on-his-hands Biden killed thousands of Ukrainians over a US domestic political issue when he had literally billions sitting there unused. Defend that if you want, it just says a lot about you all by itself.
2 billion "found"

The Biden Administration has actually spent about 1 billion in the last few months...
in August they spent 125 million.....

IF the Biden Administration keeps on track with current declining aid packages the current aid will last.....about 10 years (128 months) !!!

Nukes shmukes. That one's a bit flat. If Putin tries to go nuke he'll eat a 9mm lead pill fast enough. The oligarchs like their creature comforts and they don't want to glow in the dark.

Another big move in 155mm artillery shell self-sufficiency. Not just Rheinmetall and a couple of US manufacturers but now Nammo, all setting up ammunition production factories or joint ventures in Ukraine. This is not an insignificant boost, altho it'll take a while to come online.

Ukraine will establish the production of 155mm shells using technology from Nammo, a Norwegian company that is one of the largest ammunition manufacturers in Europe. The Norwegian government has announced that this decision has paved the way for transferring Norwegian defense technology to Ukraine. Nammo has signed an agreement with the Norwegian Defense Materiel Agency to increase the production of artillery shells and missiles significantly. According to the plan, shell manufacturing could be boosted tenfold, and the output of other shells and other equipment could be doubled. The production of 120mm tank ammunition will also be increased.

Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang completely misses the point about the UKRANIANS actively threatening the Kursk NPP, which seems to have grabbed Putin’s attention.

Now Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang is starting to get it…

Standing up Ukraine to be more self-sufficient with their military needs is logistically smart, cost effective, and sets up Ukraine for economic success on “the day after” the war and full liberation of all Ukrainian territory.

Thanks President Joe Biden and Vice President (and future President) Kamala Harris!!!

No Thanks to "President" Joe Biden and Vice President (and future Presidential-candidacy- loser) Comrade Kamala

Corrected for you. Neither of them have done a thing to help Ukraine. Biden's a puppet, his Administration gave the green light to this war, just as Obama did to Russia seizing Crimea, and the Biden Administration has come off as weak, ineffectual. and deliberbately slow-walking aid from start to finish. Sorry Laz. Ukraine is winning DESPITE the Biden Administration.

Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang has literally been corrected (schooled, actually) in this thread: The evidence is in the body of the thread; the submitted articles, and the historical reality of the chain of events before, during, and after the unjustified Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Another nail in the coffin for the Russian occupation of Crimea

The Conro Trader was the last of three vessels that ferry large quantities of fuel across the Kerch Strait. On 22 August, the Conro Trader, a Russian Roll On Roll Off (RORO) vessel with a reported 30 fuel tank cars aboard, erupted in a ball of flames at the Port of Kavkaz. The Ukrainian Navy on Friday took credit for that attack, which was suspected to have been carried out by a converted Neptune missile.

“We can confirm the information that this target was destroyed by the [Ukrainian] Navy,” spokesman Captain Dmytro Pletenchuk said Friday, according to Ukrainian Pravda. “This ferry is one of the most important chains of Russian military logistics for supplying the occupation forces, primarily with fuel and lubricants, but it also transported weapons, of course. Therefore, this is a legitimate target. And, accordingly, this should reduce the potential of our enemy’s capabilities in those locations where they are actively engaged in hostilities.”

“The ferry sank, Plentenchuck added. “The work of this part of the port is blocked. They still have one more platform to load wagons onto the ferry. But there are no ferries. This is the problem. No wonder the locals in the occupied Ukrainian Crimea immediately reacted with mass visits to petrol stations.”

The Conro Trader “sank after an attack on August 22 in the port of Kavkaz, paralyzing the work of the Kerch ferry crossing for an indefinite period,” the Crimean Wind Telegram channel stated. “Fuel is not being delivered to Crimea via the Kerch Bridge by rail, as the structures are weakened after the explosion on the bridge and the burning freight train. There are also concerns that the train carrying fuel could be hit by a missile. Therefore, our advice, Crimeans, remains the same: stock up on fuel. Or switch to electric transport.”

So no more bulk fuel shipments into Crimea. What a shame.

Keep trying, Laz. I enjoy the early morning laughter. LOL.

But alas, I am afraid we shall continue to differ on this. Altho we do agree 100% on the "unjustified Russian invasion of Ukraine" so we have some common ground here.

Lukashenko is taking Belarus visibly more distance from Putin. He moved the Belarus military away from the Ukrainian border and now he's "congratulating" Ukraine on its Independence Day:

"The Belarusian land has always treated the warm-hearted and hardworking people of Ukraine with special respect and warmth. For a long time, our nations found strength in unity, shared joy and sorrow, shelter and bread, overcame adversity together and were proud of their successes. We are united not only by a common destiny and family ties, but also by the desire to be friends and get along with our neighbors"

Beyond the propaganda, there's a development here. He's gradually distancing himself from Putin, which is quite significant, to be honest. Lukashenko has been doing his best to keep Belarus out of this war since it started, and he has succeeded, so far. My opinion is, for whatever that's worth, that he is eyeing the end game and backing away as best he can in little steps, while taking care not to have Putin fall him out a window or drink polonium tea.

Game changing move by Ukraine! Reports of a Neptune cruise missile hitting a Russian ammo dump in Ostrogozhsk, Voronezh Oblast. This is a successful hit by a Neptune missile in land attack mode in a GPS denied/heavy jamming environment. The Ukrainians' seem to have successfully modified an anti-ship radar seeker into a cruise missile capable of accurately hitting land targets. That's a turning point - if they can do this, and they were already extending the range, then they don't need the German Taurus. Hehehehehehe. Can we whisper. Kerch Bridge. The tables are turning! Voronezh Oblast is a vital logistics support area for Rus forces across Kursk all the way through to the central Donbas area. Crictical times especially as Rus is moving major units into Kursk.

Finally Neptune is adapted. Now the real fun can begin for Russia. This is a huge development by Ukraine in the war. Ukraine can now hit Russia with its own missiles. N more "restrictions" from poopy pants Sullivan.

Robert Kennedy spelled it out pretty plainly in one of his campaign speeches..its all about the money. Its a scheme to funnel huge amounts of tax payer money into the pockets of private individuals. Supplies and weapons being paid for by the US government through private companies like halliburton and black rock, who just happened to be poised to rebuild the Ukraine when the war is over. And guess what benevolent charitable country is standing by to pay for that humanitarian effort. I wouldn't be suprised if Putin was on the payroll along the way too...I know you think its crazy, but the US has done this time and time again, Using private industry to do its dirty work started in the early 60's. Look up an author named John Perkins..he was a big player in the game of empire building.
I did a report on this in my history class last fall.

"It's the third Ukrainian Independence Day they said would never happen.

Yet, here we are.

Mourning our dead, having firm friends by our side, doing what is right, breaking our way through so many no's and never's -- and having good hope, after all.

This day belongs not only to us Ukrainians but also to all good people around the world whose faith and aid help this wonderful country, which never deserved such a terrible plight, survive and fight to see another sunrise.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Life will win over death, and light will win over darkness."

On #Ukraine's Independence Day, President Zelensky slaps down Putin in a speech recorded from the border between Sumy and Kursk. "....whatever the enemy was bringing to our land has now returned to their home. And the one who wanted to turn our land into a buffer zone should think about preventing his country from becoming a buffer federation....A sick old man from the Red Square, who constantly threatens everyone with the red button, will not dictate any of his red lines to us. Only Ukraine and Ukrainians will determine how to live, what path to take, and what choice to make. Because this is how independence works....

US government inability to monitor Ukraine supplies

GAO says that DoD officials are often unaware of transfers authorized by the State Department until they are identified upon entry to Ukraine, if at all.
John HillAugust 22, 2024

The US government is unable to track military supplies transferred to Ukraine by third-party donors due to “inconsistent communication” between departments.

Based on its findings, published on 20 August 2024, the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) has put forward several recommendations to foster information sharing in Washington, thereby allowing the government to identify where US manufactured items are delivered.

The State Department is responsible for authorizing third-party transfers (TPTs) of defense articles of US origin. So far, the department has approved 217 cases by more than 26 foreign donors to Ukraine as of April 2024.

The Department of Defense (DoD) is required to conduct end-use monitoring of these items; however, it is limited in its ability to do so.

I'm sure Zelensky has enough American Dollars to fund an extravagant life style far from Ukraine once he able to effect a successful escape as his popularity continues to evaporate into thin air.

It's actually better if the USA can't track this information. What they don't know, they can't leak it to Russia.

One of the unintended outcomes of russia’s foolish invasion of Ukraine, with the pretext of demilitarizing the fearsome neo-Nazi Ukrainian nationalists, is that Moscow will have a heavily militarized, heavily armed, highly trained, highly innovative and eternally motivated Ukrainian military bordering it. Unlike Moscow whose military has seen progressive degradation over the last 30 months, Ukraine is emerging to be a significant exporter of military wares, know how and innovation as well as going on to have the best equipped and best-trained military in Europe. And likely nuclear-armed too.

Ukraine has just unveiled the "Palyianitsa", a jet-powered drone missile. It was used for the first time today. "Today, a brand new weapon was used for the first time - the Ukrainian drone missile "Palianytsia". This is our new method of retaliation against the aggressor. The enemy has been defeated. It will be very difficult for the Russians, it will be difficult even to say what exactly came, it will be difficult to resist, but it is easy to understand why," Zelenskyy said.

Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin confirmed the president's words about the new development of the domestic military-industrial complex. He said that Ukrainian engineers, together with the military, are determining what the future of defense technology will look like. "Today in Ukraine you can find a drone for any task. In the air, on the ground, and at sea. For strike, reconnaissance, and logistics. At close range, medium range, and deep behind enemy lines. Today we have a completely new class of weapons, rocket drones," the minister said. Kamyshin also emphasized that the Palyanytsia drone missile was successfully used for the first time, hitting an enemy military facility in the temporarily occupied territory. He also added that it is both a drone and a missile, as its tactical and technical characteristics fall under both definitions.
