For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

The whole secret lies in confusing the enemy, so that he cannot fathom our real intent - Sun Tzu

It's finally dawning on the Russians that Ukraine has been building, training and equipping an entire new army of about 15+ brigades.... a lot of these were announced back early last year but then Ukraine went silent - those brigades have not been seen in action and have been being built up, equipped, and trained since last year. Go figure where they might appear....the Russian's can't.

Ukraine has released a video officially introducing the Palianytsia — the first Ukrainian long-range rocket drone. Expect strikes on Russian airfields to commence in 10...9...8...7....This really is a TRUE game changer as it bypasses all the US and German restrictions on using their long range weapons and allows the ZSU to strike at strategic targets deep in the Russian rear - airfields, weapons storages, oil refineries and energy infrastructures! They could do those with long range drones, as they have been doing, but those are slow and can be shot down. The Palianytsia is cheap (between $1-300,000 each apparently), fast and effective - compare this to the cost of a cruise missile in the millions, and yes, the warhead is smaller but you get a lot of bangs for the buck.

ZSU: 47th Mechanized Brigade clip

It's really informative just to look at this and compare it to clips from two and a half years ago, when the ZSU was first mobilizing and lacked everything. Look at the soldiers of the 47th now - well equipped, modern weapons, optical sights, not the old iron sights, body armor, helmets, tactical equipment - two years ago I was collecting donations to buy and ship things like tactical gloves, armor plates and helmets to ZSU units. Now, they're well equipped, trained - and okay it's a promotional clip, but they're moving tactically, on the ball, coordinated, know what they're doing. A huge increase in professionalism and a display of the determination to win this war by the ZSU.

Heroiam Slava!

The official video of the new drone missile Palyanytsia announced by President Zelensky yesterday. It's a little different in design and capabilities from the video published by some accounts yesterday, which showed a prototype of another development (drone jet). Thing is, Ukraine is working on multiple designs in parallel so we may end up with a number of variations of these with different capabilities. The USA and Germany wouldn't transfer to the ZSU what they needed, so they went ahead and designed and built them themselves, at a fraction of the cost.

Russia tried to kill 3 million Ukrainians today. The Kyiv Dam holds back almost 4 cubic kilometres of water. For scale, that is the equivalent of 1,500 Pyramids of Giza stacked on top of each other. Russia launched missiles at the Kyiv Dam today in an effort to flood Kyiv - a city of 3 million - with 4 cubic kilometres of water. Call it what it is: attempted genocide. When will the Biden Administration wake up? Probably never. Biden's going down in history alongside Neville Chamberlain.

Russian state television propagandists boasted today about Russian missile strikes on the Kyiv Dam. The destruction of the Kyiv Dam would kill millions of Ukrainians. But still the Biden administration and Jake Sullivan won’t let Ukraine fire back to defend itself. We need Trump in office, and unlimited lend lease. Biden and Jake Sullivan are working harder to protected Putin than they are to help Ukraine.

The Biden Administration is blocking the transfer of these Bradley's to Ukraine. They are in a scrap yard in Texas, the hulls are in A+ condition, and a few parts are missing, but overall they are in great shape. They were sold as scrap due to excess, not due to damage! These could be used by Ukraine either to rebuild or as the source for parts to reconstitute damaged Bradley's - stripping working components from a war-damaged Ukrainian Bradley and fitting them int one of these Texas scap hulls would take a few days max, and Ukraine would have another working Bradley. The scrap yard is willing to sell these to Ukraine, Ukraine would buy them outright, but the Biden Administration has blocked the sale of these. Pathetic.

People forget that nearly everything on the Bradley was made to be fixed or replaced a 18 year old kid, with a #2 cross tip screw driver, med flat tip, impact wrench (included in the vehicle), 14mm socket, 1/2 in wrench, 9/16 wrench, hammer, med and large crescent wrench plyers. Thats it! These things were designed to be easily maintainable. A lot of stuff in these is plug in and connect.

“It took 15 years to built the oil storage in Proletarsk. All burnt down in a week. ”The fires in Proletarsk are not completely extinguished, even after 10 days, but there is not much left either. That facility is gone. That's also a few hundred million dollars of fuel gone up in flames, as well as all the infrastructure.

This seems to be a bit more significant of a hit than I was aware of: the Federal POL-depot in Proletarsk contains 8-10% of the total Russian POL reserves. Gone up in smoke.

The hatred that Ukrainians now have for this guy is second only to Putin. Only the Biden Administration could possibly be this maladroit, turning a country which should be eternally grateful to the USA into a country which feels our political leadership have continually betrayed them - which, lets make no bones about it, Jake Sullivan has. And there you have it.

Ahhhh, now it makes sense as to why Lukashenko was suddenly being making noises about a Ukrainian threat to Belarus, and has been noisily making noises about moving Belarus units up to the Ukrainian border (while not actually moving anything). It's NOT because he plans to involve Belarus in the war with Ukraine, something he has been very obviously doing his best to keep Belarus out of, despite being 100% reliant on Putin to stay in power.

"On Aug. 10, Lukashenko claimed that 10 Ukrainian drones had allegedly attacked the country the previous evening, on Aug. 9. ......The next day, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense announced the advance of troops to the Ukrainian border, and official Minsk accused Ukraine of aggression." At the same time, Kyiv Post sources among Ukrainian border forces reported no activity from the opposite side of the border.

It does seem however that this is connected with the Kursk operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Lukashenko, by imitating a threat from Ukraine, is trying to ‘ward off’ the need to send his troops to help the Russians in the Kursk region, especially given the attitude of the Belarusian army towards the Russian-Ukrainian war. He will do everything to avoid further participation in the war." Lukashenko himself is afraid to send the army to the Kursk region because he sees the catastrophe happening there for the Russian army.

LOL. The most dangerous guys in the world are actually placid old slightly overweight middle-aged white guys.....

Volunteers from the Vengeance Guard project, Yury Chornomorets and Dmytro Batishchev, who are dedicated to equipping the Ukrainian military, recently handed over a sniper system named after the hero city of Okhtyrka in the Sumy region, bordering Russia, to the National Guard snipers for Independence Day. According to the volunteers, the RUGER in .338 caliber rifle will be deployed in the Mauser sniper platoon of the 27th Pechersk Brigade of the National Guard, headed by the well-known Ukrainian sniper Serhiy Pozniak. “There is a lot of symbolism in the fact that a rifle named after the hero city of Okhtyrka will enhance the combat capabilities of this unit. Both the commander and the city share a common trait—indomitability,” Batishchev said.

So far, 23 cities in Ukraine and one village have joined the Vengeance Guard project, which Chornomorets and Batishchev launched in May 2023. Batishchev explained the project’s main idea: communities across Ukraine can raise funds for a long-range rifle, the core of a sniper system. At the same time, funds are being collected to equip the rifle with a scope, bipod, silencer, and other necessary accessories. The volunteers are now launching another fundraiser as part of the People’s Vengeance Guard, this time for a sniper rifle to be named after the city of Lviv. Ukraine Has Now Test Fired Domestically-Produced Ballistic Missiles, Says Zelensky

Speaking at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, Zelensky named the “positive test of the first Ukrainian ballistic missile” as one of Ukraine’s achievements but refused to elaborate further. “What other developments are there in Ukraine? Well, I thought it was too early to talk about it, but ... There was a positive test of the first Ukrainian ballistic missile. I congratulate our military-industrial complex on this.

Ukraine has had a missile program underway for some time now, and has considerable expertise in this field from the "old" days, when a lot of the old Soviet military industry was based in Ukraine. Soon, Ukraine will be responding to Russia in kind, and the need for long range weapons from the USA and Germany will have become less urgent. Great to see Ukraine becoming increasingly more self-reliant, and developing its own deep strike capability.

Another Russian fuel depot going up in flames. Hopefully we can enjoy this sight for the next week or so. Better yet, due to the ongoing destruction of fuel storage facilities in Russia by Ukraine, Russia has been forced to ration fuel, even for commercial passenger jets.
