Garters, stockings, or knee highs....

Hi all - can somebody tell my why some links posted in the forum threads have a whole lot of asterisks in the middle? And why they don’t work?
Ignorant I know, but you only learn by asking.
 
Oh… stockings with suspenders are supreme! But when you say “garters” do you mean what they used to called “girdles”? Usually a hip-shaped tube of white, lacy, elasticated fabric that would be pulled up over the hips with clips at the bottom for stockings?

Absolutely depends. If I'm wearing them? Knee highs all the way. Much more comfortable for a lot of movement. If someone else is wearing, stockings for the win. Love seeing a girl rock some nylons~!

Technically Garters are what hold stockings up. In the UK they're more likely called a suspender belt.
In these days of 'hold up' stockings, garters/suspenders are getting rarer.

So I am guessing the difference in the OP is those stockings that need a garter/suspender, hold up stockings and knee highs.

no preference from me - depends on the wearer and the outfit 😎
