Garters are the snaps that hold the stockings up. Suspended, or garter belts as they’re called in the States, mean the same thing, that which has straps holding the garters. No not girdles, girdles are shapewear and can include garters, but not always.

Several points to be made here.
1. Panties must be worn on the outside of the garters to facilitate easy removal. Yes they look better when worn on the inside but if they need to come off outside is easier.
2. The actual garter straps add an accent to the rear end that is truly wonderful.
3. Shorter skirts with exposed stockings and garter straps are really HOT!
4. Thinner material sundresses that reveal garters are HOT!
