you're right. we do give you yankees fans a lot to work with. plus, i'm sure you yankee fans can't stand the fact that if MLB had never implemented the wild card for the playoffs, the red sox would never have had the opportunity to pull off the greatest comeback in sports history, and close it out at yankee stadium. oh well.

wager....I'm kind of at a handicap right now. if things even up tonight (although small is pitching and he hasn't lost a game yet - jinx attempt here) then I'll go for the wager.

Following that night was the 3 game series with the yankees. I wanted them to be tied in the standings BEFORE the 3 game series started.

i believe when we resolved the wager, the teams WERE tied... there's been so much discussion going on in a few different places that i can't keep it all straight. in my head, the wager was on the AL east division winners... and, in my head, scalywag did finally accept when i reminded him that the teams WERE tied when the bet was originally presented.

i don't know... the whole thing has me confused and i'm not gonna push it because there's a chance that what i have in my head isn't what wound up being posted. i'm too honorable a guy to put anyone against the wall if i can't corroborate what's goin' on in my skull... and that's scary on its own.
