Yes I used to paint, I am thinking of taking it up again. :) I am glad you like it. I was living in a tropical place when I painted it (south Florida) I went through a period where I obsessed , sketched and painted the female form. In retrospect I wonder if it had to do with my transsexualism which I was keeping stuffed in the closet as much as possible lol
 
Just to give a perspective of the Phalaenopsis equestris photos I have been posting. Here is a baby first bloom keiki. I have been told people do not realize how small these flowers and plants are.

Phalaenopsis equestris var. aparii

this orchid was given me from a local commercial orchid grower, a tornado generated by a hurricane hit her green houses leaving devastation. Months afterward she found this plant in a pile of detritus that had been pushed into a corner. The plant was barely alive when she gave it to me. Loving care has brought it back adding to my collection of Phal. equestris varieties.
