Global Positioning Systems - Personal GPS Tracking

It couldn't be a very good relationship, or else the slave would have to be very naughty and untrustworthy, if their master felt they needed one.

I can think of one sub that I have known where that might have been a VERY good idea...
But with a tad more experience I came to the conclusion that is was simpler and less annoying to provide them with the GPS coordinates ...For the door.

Hmmmm Though on second thought... Given the new toys available..
I could see the attraction of say, a cellphone with a Bluetooth headset for the pyl... *grin*
The possibilities are almost endless...

This is interesting, as is the cellphone idea. The implantable chip seems taking it a bit far, at least in my situation.

Thanks for the ideas.

I am totally against the implanting of RFID chips, and I think that the Government has a covert plan to sell the idea to the American public. They can already track your whereabouts (within range of a cell site) if you use a cell phone. Closed-circuit cameras are being installed in various cities around the world -- not only to provide safety to pedestrians, but to monitor possible criminal behavior. Technology is a great thing, but it has the potential for being intrusive.

They don't need a covert plan. The internal logic of technology will bring about the complete destruction of privacy as we know it without any help. No one person or small group or people will be responsible. It's just a result of the explosion of information tech. I don't even want to think about the combination of nanocams and bots, with AI.

Actualy, I think it's kinda hot, knowing that I could find them anytime anytime I wanted, and they would always have that in the back of their head. They would know they were mine.

I know there are other ways, I just think it's kinda an ....amuseing idea. If I didn't think it would be a good idea with that particular person, I certainly would refrain from mentioning it, and I certainly could live with out it. It's just a kink.

LOL, because my lips have to remain sealed about certain things concerning the monitoring and surviellance of the public, I can't say anything specifically, but what you have said is not near as bad as the reality we are now living in and will be living in within the next year or so and basically have no way of stopping. Guess one of the positives is most people will not even be aware of just how much of their privacy they have lost to government run security services.

Catalina :catroar:

hmmm, very interesting idea. i could possibly see my Master using something like this in the way Catalina described...not something done out of need or insecurity, but simply to serve as yet another reminder of one's place in life and a reinforcement of one's ownership.

but then in my case a tracking system would be fairly useless, as i don't leave the house alone, and since either my Master or someone he's placed in temporary charge of me is with me when i do go out, he already knows exactly where i am at all times.

This is true. That's how James Kim was tracked - he went in range of a cell tower and there was an SMS waiting, and it was pushed to his phone. So his phone was in contact with that cell tower, and they were able to determine that he must have been within range. Although "range" can vary depending on elevation and electronics...some phones get great coverage all over, some don't.

And speaking as someone who uses a GPS unit a lot, I can say that it would be easy to get away - duck into a large building, like a shopping mall. Most GPS units need a clear view of the sky to operate properly.

I'd just like to say from the submissive perspective, even though I actually saw a really creepy Dr.Phil with a guy using one of those without his wife's knowledge, I think it sounds hot!

ROFLMAO.. if you need to put a GPS on your sub.. your in the wrong damn business...

Okay, I've tried searching these forums, some other BDSM sites, and google for this topic but am coming up empty. Maybe I'm using the wrong terms, so I'm wondering if anyone can help.

Have you heard of using the GPS in BDSM relationships? Such as a master using a GPS tracking device to keep apprised of a slave's whereabouts at all times? I am SURE I've run across this particular aspect of BDSM on the net before, but I'm having trouble finding anything about it.

Anyone?

steel

Gee, I hope anyone who is my master doesn't get a hold of this info.

oooh, Etoile, talk to me hon. That is something I've been seriously wanting to get into, Geocaching!!!

A fine idea---if you need to be able to hit your sub with a cruise missile at any hour of day or night.
And this is why a GPS devise would appeal to my favorite Dom.

Damn you make me shiver

...and not in a good way.
