Global warming and a country ran by Crude Junkies

They can't quite grasp the fact that most of the scientists they worship as the "Gods of Greening" are false prophets filling their own coffers with the donations made to "Save the Planet." Altogether they are indistingushable for Oral Roberts or any of the other religious hucksters. They laugh and point derisively at the Christians who send in their $20 for a glow in the dark dashboard Jesus, while they dig in their pockets to donate $20 to the very same sort of huckster, just hiding behind a degree and a lot of junk science based on flawed models.

At least the Christian gets a glow in the dark dashboard Jesus.

You really are a fucking moron aren't you? The majority of climatologists support the greenhouse gas theory. The only ones who don't are funded by the carbon fuel lobby or big business. Typical neo con bullshit, if your argument's getting ripped to shit, lie about the other side. Dick.

Take religion from the masses and they will invent one even if it's Stalinism...

That's what "May Day" in the old Soviet Union was all about. The state posing as a religion. Gotta love it. The ultimate expression of Hagel.

Is it too early to begin my usual dissertaion on Chaotic Systems, Analog Feedback Loops, Strange Attractors, Initial Conditions, and Modeling Theory (you will need to understand the concepts behind diffy-Q, so the Liberals may have difficulty following the argument since their BA's and MA's doesn't really need any real science, just a command of French.)?

Enter Pollo who is leading Lucky...

BINGO!

*spit*

They turned away from God and went back to worshiping tree spirits.

When I turned from God, I began to worship Liberty and Freedom.

At one time all the leading minds "knew" the earth was flat.

Scholarship has been reduced to publish or perish and the pursuit of governmental grant money which means you have to toe the line, whatever than line is which is why we persist with the myth of the AIDS "virus..."

Apparently our "highly educated" little friend can't distinguish between theory and reality. It's a shame because there is NO scientific evidence that we are in a 'green house' episode. One of the reasons that the "Global Warming" whores are grasping at straws. (The actual measurements are contrary to 'green house' effect. Go figure.)

And no one wants to explain how all those SUV's got to Mars to melt the ice caps. *chuckle*

I'm in a personal attack kind of mood.
And I'll take peer reviewed over dogmatic bullshit every time.

Haliburton's Mars Rover Emmissions...

I saved them the time!

:D :D :D

Those bastards are everywhere. Next thing you know they'll be drilling for oil up there. *chuckle*

It'd be nice to round all the socialists up and send them to a really environmentally concious Socialist nation. Like China maybe.

Or somewhere in Scandinavia maybe?

Hey, I'd like Ish to peer-review my political posts too, ya know. ;) ;)

One recent study used probability and statistics to prove that most papers are flawed. Of course, the study could be flawed even though it was peer-reviewed...

I used to talk with my favorite physics prof about it. People are under tremendous pressure to publish and hence we get a lot of poor science. What bothers me about the Greenhouse Gas crowd is that they have such limited historical data to feed to their very simplistic models (something I used to work on.). When they can accurately give me the weather for the entire week, then I will give their models a modicum of weight in the discussion.

Furthermore, if they were sincere, they would be focusing on China and its use of antiquated technology and use of dirty coal burners to supply its ever-growing enery needs (Think of that when you read the monthly disaster report of hundreds of Chinese being killed in coal mining accidents.). Instead they focus on America and the redistibution of world wealth because they are mostly socialists. They don't believe in freedom. They are elitists whom think they have all the answers and that is a dangerous thing indeed.

Funny you should mention China...

Now there's a place that might benefit from a little global warming.

SeanH: So you're saying that they are wrong, that the earth ain't warmin' up?
A_J: No. I agree, it IS warming up. So is Mars. So is the Sun. What happens when you throw another log on the fire? Now could emissions be "part" of the problem. Maybe. The problem is the earth is the worst emitter of emmissions. And that's been true long before there was man. Oil used to seep to the surface all over the place, for example...

Don't mind sean, he's following standard liberal protocal.

"When you're worried and in doubt,
run in circles, scream, and shout."

But what the hell, there's no reason to believe he's studied Milankovitch cycles or upper mesospere temperature profiles. <shrug>

Well, their economy isn't surging because they hamstrung themselves with environmental over-regulation.

Most of that I actually agree with. It's

where we differ. There is a pragmatism on the left these days that wasn't there in the 60's and 70's. We KNOW we can do fuck all about China. But we can attempt to influence policy in our own country. And your contention that most climatologists are socialists is nuts. Most of them are from the US where you don't even HAVE socialism.
And anyway, America bashing is fun.

Part of the problem, like with Katrina, is the press.

They've got a lot of people believing that there are no competing schools of thought, that Global Warming is a done deal, fact, and something we can reverse...

Short of a huge orbiting umbrella, I don't know how one fights a rise in the sun's energy output.

It's the "if it bleeds, it leads" mentality as applied to science. "This is all part of a long term cycle" just isn't as good a headline as "Global warming is causing some species to go extinct" (insert picture of cute critter who's evolved itself into a sensitive niche environment here).

Have you SEEN Owera post?

Socialism is alive and well in the United States thank you. It wasn't that long ago that the Clinton Administraion tried to nationalize health care. If you don't like the term socialism, then let us say, they are from a school of thought that says government is the solution to problems not the free market and the competition of ideas. They have an idea, and they wish government to act upon it.

What was the last thing government ran efficiently?

Governments do two things with relative efficiency. They wage war and can create an artificail shortages or surpluses in a heart beat.

You think the Clinton health care plan was socialist? The free market solution is privatise the whole lot and devil take the hindmost. What do you do when you're going in to have your ingrowing toenail removed, step over the cancer patients who are too poor to afford treatment, or have hired security drag them out of the way?
