Ahhhhh, but it did…. Can you read what Sunmaid posted? The topic of the room is banned, therefore the room is banned. That you got in there before a mod cleaned it up doesn’t make the room ok. It just makes you banned. This really is t a difficult concept.

philippa9, I'm unsure what extra information you are looking for. It's true that some commentary was made, but this was after your question was asked and answered. You are still able to use the forum at large if you so desire. The ban from chat was because of what happened. We have not accused you of being a bad person, but you tacitly participated in discussion of a topic that was outside of the parameters provided by lit. It is unfortunate that you were unaware you were doing it, but as has been stated, that doesn't wipe the slate clean. If you had messaged myself or Thesunmaid instead of immediately taking to the forums, some of this might have been avoided, but as has been stated several times, your ban is still in effect.

Just... walk away. Go outside, find a green space and commune with nature. Or stay inside with a good book. Or play a game that makes you happy. Devote your attention to things that bring you pleasure.

As a fellow chat mod. I will say this. The chat moderators do not just nilly willy cockadoodle dandy happy ban people randomly.
If you were banned. The more than a good 99% sure that it was for a good reason.
As for contacting the site owner. It's simple. Go to the author profile and search for laurels name. I am sure she will contact you within the decade. But I could be wrong. I've personally never contacted her myself but I've heard stories that you have a better chance catching a Harry Potter based unicorn... But that could also be wrong.

I will say this.. there's a line between being polite. Being obtuse and simply just making one question their own sanity. Currently I'm questioning mine for how many times I've read the same question and lines...... In at least 10 different rewrites.
I am wishing you good luck with your endeavors and please remember.. potatoes taste better when properly seasoned ..

Hi, I have been an avid reader at literotica and have also enjoyed lit chat for a long while. Recently got back onto the chat platform and realise that i cannot log in. Has my user id been banned due to inactivity or any other reason. Could one of the mods help me get back onto the platform.

Also have to say that i fully expect a majority not to bother to read my profile - comes with the territory i suppose - but to me what is worse is people who read it, with all its quite niche specifics, and then propose i engage with them on something literally not there. Genuinely confused and upset about being banned. Literally been in chat all day COMPLETELY FINE and because I talked about catfishing someone IN THE 8TH GRADE WHICH WAS LITERALLY 12 YEARS AGO, i get banned?? Where is the logic. I wasn’t age playing i wasnt acting young. People were talking about Catfishing so I joined the conversation saying i've only acted like someone else one time a long time ago. “CrankyBrit” Said thats an automatic ban and I said how is talking about something from over a decade ago wrong? genuinely wondering, and she just said “fine” and i got banned. As a mod, super unprofessional and rude and I don’t think its justified at all how I was just treated. So am I now banned for life? Ive made friends, and now subject to this treatment because of a mod that doesnt know how to be decent. Jesus Christ.

I explained this in the lobby, and told everyone to avoid under 18 topics. It doesn't matter that it was historical.
I told you to drop it or I would ban you, and that I hadn't banned you already was me being nice (subtext being I took the context into account). You then continued so I banned you.

I subsequently discussed this with an Admin who saw the exchange and was happy that the ban could stay.
However, I decided to make it a temp ban because I did think it wasn't intentional, and I hope next time you will be more careful.

We take anything under the age of 18 extremely seriously, and it makes no difference if it's personal experience or otherwise historical.

With respect to the temp ban, I already lifted it before I saw this post.

I understand where you are coming from but I stick to the fact that “Discussion of any sexual activity below the age of 18.” did not happen. but i can see how catfishing could be assumed to be sexual activity and with this in mind just will avoid any talk about anything under the age of 18 thank you for your response.

The fact that it was more than a decade ago or not is irrelevant. There's no statute of limitations regarding when we ban someone for discussing underage. Secondly, you posed as a "model" online. You could have chosen almost anyone, so it seems disigenuous to say that sex was not a factor that played into your decision, regardless of how it played out. "One time a long time ago" was 8th grade. You also understood that you were being told this was not a proper topic for conversation, then complained about the amount of time that had passed, and then made a comment in passing about how you "didn't realize its illega to talk about your childhood oops" while ignoring the information you were given. You were temp banned and it was removed almost as quickly as it was instituted. As one of the admins, I likely would have left it for the the customary 3 days. Cranky decided to be nice and removed it. Nothing untoward took place.
