Anyhow, I suggest that new posters thinking of posing a question on this forum--either about procedure or the content of their work--read through this thread very carefully. Buyer beware.

Are you serious? I think this is the best place to post question on procedure and content. Especially on content. You've admitted on several occassions that you support newbies and those requesting feedback by correcting "bum advice" and now you're telling those people not to post here? Seriously?

And, I don't think anybody here was laughing at Innocent. They were laughing at Jenny's parody. I don't know how many times that hard head of yours has to hear this in order for it to sink in. Nobody bashed anybody. Nobody was mean spirited or ugly to anybody. It was a joke about the numerous times people ask that same question put in a fun parody. Good grief.

As far as Jenny goes, I've never seen her bash a newb in this forum, she spends a lot of time reading, and giving thoughtful opinions to new writers.

The point is NOT whether Jenny meant to bash the newbie. Of course she didn't, we all know that. The Point is, the parody can easily be seen as a bash to a newcomer who hasn't been around here before.

And I have been around other forums and tend to have a "Fuck you, you're not running me off that easily" attitude.

Thanks, Starrkers--the thread has been dormant for five and a half hours, though, so of course I was letting it go--just like I let it go the first time until Elfin reintroduced it today (something the mob is conveniently blind to). If they want to discuss it again, though, I'm game. I don't mind the bad behavior being pointed to on the forums for general readers to see and to contemplate what can happen to them.

I have to say, even if she was or is a new author, there was nothing wrong with the post by JJ. It was strictly joshing, certainly not an attack, and everybody could see that. It's fairly customary for the "new kid on the block" to go through a certain amount of good-natured hazing, and that's all this was, or would have been.
