Generally speaking women don't choose their attire or jewelry with a view to attracting the attention of random guys because most of those prospective interactions are unappealing. We make those choices to feel sexy for ourselves or to appeal to a specific man or men. Even in a context where we are casting the net more widely (i.e. a night club for singles) we still reserve the right to be selective. No woman advertises to just fuck any man who asks.

The hotwife anklet tells people I am a hotwife, just like a QoS pendant tells people I like black guys. Neither is an open invitation. I realize that they may draw attention just like a low cut blouse does. But in all cases that attention should never be more than a respectful approach at most. I can't help but laugh imagining some naive, unsuspecting dude giving his wife a "Hot Wife" anklet because he saw it online and thought it would be a cute affirmation of his affection. ...Then takes his wife to dinner and ends up punching 5 different guys who openly hit on her. And he doesn't piece it together until some in-the-know friend sees the anklet then explains it to him. So now he wants to take it back from her but she says "no." She doesn't say why she won't give it back but it's obvious it's because she kinda sorta likes the attention from the other men.

So....anklets.....I'll be honest....most girl probably have NO clue this 'alternate' meaning. I have been wearing anklets for as long as I can remember....High School, College, and now after. There is rarely a day that has gone by where I do not have one of my many ones on.

I shared a pic with a random guy online once shortly after college and he was all caught up with the anklet, asking questions, then told me about it.....to which I then did a search and found out he was right lol....something I never knew.

However, it never stopped me from wearing them.....and hubby even buys me cute new one to wear now and then too. Everything from a starfish charm, to a heart, one with a cute bunny, even a cheerleader charm as I was one in HS and College.

He has always playfully called me his sexy vixen as times....so he bought me one that says 'vixen', and he calls me his 'hot wifey'....so he did buy me a 'hotwife' one too....and yes, I wear both.....I know what it means so I am careful where i wear them a bit lol.....the question is....does he really know or is he a bit naive. I never knew this other meaning until someone online told me so?

Anklets are generally sexy, especially when accompanying high heels. I have met two women who wore them because they were hotwives, but as others have said, there were plenty of other signs. I did sit next to one on the plane and just struck up a general conversation with her and her husband but things turned flirty when I saw her SDC email. A casual remark is all that is needed, I can’t imagine just walking up and saying something to the tune of “saw the anklet, looking for someone to fuck?” Tact is everything and complimenting any jewelry is generally well received until you have a better idea and want to poke around a sensitive topic.

When I first learned of the anklet symbolism I started looking at more ankles... LOL

I am certain many of the anklets I saw were innocent pieces of jewelry.

I remember seeing one on an attractive woman in her 50s, she was with a distinguished looking man, they were a beautiful couple. As I was checking her out after noticing the anklet I saw she was also wearing a very nice collar. It was SS, silver, or maybe an alloy, very elegant, and likely very expensive. It obviously meant something, that she was his. He noticed me checking her out and merely smiled and nudged her. She got eye contact with me and winked.

So... in her case, or theirs, it was an advertisement that they clearly enjoyed being noticed.
