How much snow did you get/are you getting?

My guess is that your school district got the day off. The channel 9 cancellations scrolling at the bottom of the TV screen took a long time (my daughter says 20 minutes, not sure 'bout that though) to go through one cycle.

You're right. Apparently you guys have gotten crazy amounts of snowfall - I just talked to my mom.

Even my puppy doesn't want to go outside.

I'm feeling really inadequate. I have an inch. Is that average? Is it enough? Will it please the ladies?

Sorry, wrong thread.

We got about an inch of snow, which was less than we were supposed to get. A lot of the schools around here cancelled classes last night, and I think they jumped the gun a bit. My kids' school district was on a two-hour delay.

You only got an inch? We got about 4.5 inches. Still not enough to satisfy anyone. ;)

Mr. Wag's got 12? I'm impressed... :D

we were supposed to get 5 to 10. I think we got at least 12".

My dad, who is insane, obviously, went and tried to snowblow our driveway earlier today. Apparently, once he was finished, enough snow fell down to look like he made absolutely zero difference.

We haven't gotten much snow this time around, but this -18 below zero shit sucks!

just enough...

We got 2 - 4 last night, and it was a snow day at my work (school.) Which was great... Since it also meant my 8:30 am appt. to get all 4 wisdom teeth out got bumped to 11:45. I got to sleep in, clean my apt. like mad, and now I'm sitting around somewhat achy & drugged up.

Gotta say, all my friends said I'd get good drugs like percoset, but I got some random thing I've never heard of. I just took 3 advil in addition, and feel much better than I was an hour ago.

Plus the sweet lil roomie is gonna give me some mega sleeping thing (addavan?) for later.

Bless her heart!

This is what it looked like in my backyard... the path towards the center of the picture leads down to a creek that feeds into a small lake at the back of my property.

Hi WG...haven't seen you around in forever! How have you been? :)

Midwest state here, on Thursday we got about 6 inches. It snowed from sun up to sun down. I think we were very lucky in only getting 6 inches of snow. But crazy drivers. Lots of accident, cars in the ditch. We had a 14 car pile up on one of the main arteries here in town, luckily no one was hurt badly. I have to give our street crews a pat on the back, they did a very good job of getting and keeping the roads clear.

I can't believe that you got a snow day with 2 - 4" of snow. Wimps. We get double that and it's not a snow day. We're Canadian.
Ativan can be addictive, so be careful.
When my wisdoms came out I was on Advil, antibiotics, and Tylenol 3 and I did just fine.
After the 24 hours of vomiting every half hour to hour...

I'll take 18" of snow instead of -18 degrees F anytime
Me too! Plus we got about 14" LAST week, and since I was sick as hell last week, I couldn't shovel. So now it's all packed in and crappy. I'm glad this last bit slid north of us.
