I Am A Girl!

i m male 31,
i m also online now

This is why you don't always know up front who's female , you have to hang out while and piece it together. I'm still sorting some people out around here myself!

Don't feed the trolls

As others have said, there is a group of readers out there that just don't get it. They invest themselves personally in these fantasy stories as if these are true stories. As such, if your character does not live up to their expectations they freak on you and leave comments like some of those you received. Pay them no mind.

As far as them not thinking you are a girl/woman: Thank all the posers that come in here pretending to be someone else (particularly young horny girls) for that. That is one of the side effects of having a free and anonymous internet.

I read your story. It is not my kind of story, but a good first effort. I'm one of those kind of writers that takes forever to get to the good stuff. :D

Welcome to Lit

hahahhahaha

yah making this forum has definitely introduced me to a lot of women. shockingly they're all alot nicer than you. however i will say "queefing your own pussy"...that's the first time i've heard that...hilarious. :)

Thanks, I thought it was clever, myself. :D

That is shocking.

I'm nice!

I have the opposite problem. My first story to post here was written from a woman's POV. My screen name only adds to the confusion. Guess I should have called myself Mr. Deezire.

There are many women writers around here. My favorite is Dafney Dewitt, who, unfortunately, last contributed in 2001.

haha we are kindred spirits it seems.

Perhaps the reason many assume you're male is the wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am aspect of your story. Men assume a woman wants some foreplay, some emotional gymnastics before the actual sex begins. When we see a story lacking in those areas, we think it couldn't possibly have been written by a women.

Funny thing about Dafney Dewitt - as I recall, all her stories are written from the male POV. But they show insight into a woman's perception, and, in most cases, the woman comes out on top so to speak, not sexually, but in the dynamic between the characters. Perhaps that's why I like her writing so much. She challenges the stereotypical man/woman power struggle.

I didn't finish your story (since pure stroke is not my thing) but Dafney's ending might have had the lady's accomplice shooting video of the incident surreptitiously, so the lady could sue the parking garage. Then the lady shares her settlement with her accomplice, who also happens to be a woman, and they ride off into the sunset to have hot lesbian sex. Now that, to me, is a story.

All woman here I have just been MIA because I just had a little boy so whileI was pregnant I took a break from posting pictures and replies. There are quiet a few women on here though, so welcome:)

Thank you! And congratulations on the new baby boy in your life!!! :)

My personal experiance is that women are better at writing erotica then men. Most guys just want to make the sex as raunchy or extreme as possible, but lake the desire to really explore the intimate emotions that make erotica an art. I hope I'm one guy who has succeded in this. When I look for stories to read, I usually prefer if its written by a women

Well, I am a girl too and I got my first weird gender-questioning comment, which seriously made me feel as if I had acheived a literotica rite of passage. You can see it here: http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=425859

I laughed out loud at this because for one thing, this story was by far one of the least extreme I have written and ALSO because this one was actually based on real events, unlike the others which were totally made up. So the irony of that amuses me greatly.

I don't even care, really, what difference does gender make in the writing of good erotica?

Personally, as a not-girl, I take it as a bit of a compliment when people say they think I might be one. :D Of course, that's because I'm playing to stereotype: I try to get into the characters' heads and really get the empathy quotient up. Which is what women writers are supposed to do.

Having said that, anyone who thinks a woman can't be raunchy is, well, stupid. The level of idiocy amongst this site's readership... It's depressing sometimes. u_u

Hilarious! I can't believe that some people are so crazy! It's cool though to see that this is just an epidemic that plagues literotica, not something that just targeted me. haha!

EXACTLY!!!

You know the part that bothers me is this whole attitude some people have towards women.

It's like they're not supposed to be sexual or enjoy kinky sexual things because they are female..

Sexist backwards asshole thinking... Very very annoying.

Ponder this

Wow. Are there really that many people out there that are that shallow? (Not talking about the previous poster) I thought most of the public was past all that. It has become extremely clear over the last few decades that women can be just as sexual as men, just as smart as men, just as (fill in the blank) as men.

While I'm not necessarily arguing anything, I'm merely questioning... Is it STILL that big of a misnomer? Yeah, some people will always be that way. I'm just not so sure that it's as many as we sometimes think it is.

Just an example... it's similar to racism... Race was a huge issue. Other than certain racial groups, America has come leaps and bounds compared to the way it was in the past. And yet people continue to talk about how bad it is. I just don't see it where I'm from. And I CAN say something about it because I'm from Texas. Deep South. We have a high school named after Robert E Lee! But if you see a mixed couple together, it's just not that big of a deal! The general public doesn't care anymore! And they shouldn't care...

My personal opinion would be that people assign a gender to an author of unknown sex, such as the person who started this thread. The case is probably that the commenters mentioned did not know if she was male or female so they assigned her a gender for the sake of having a pronoun (he/she) to use in their comments. Man/Men is just a default noun. After reading a piece, I may think a man wrote it and realized later that it was a woman. Or likewise, read a story and feel that a woman wrote it and later find that it was written by a man! It happens all the time! It isn't a sexist thing...

By the way, I'm also a woman.

be wary of Loving Wives category. ;)
That won't be such a problem when Laurel & Manu decide to open up a Loving Husbands category. Right now the haters who flame stories in that category see Loving Wives and, on top of the normal dislike for cheating wives, they also realize Lit doesn't recognize the reverse. So Loving Wives comes off as "I am woman, watch me cheat - but don't you guys dare do it!"

But then again, do women read "Loving Husband" type stories?

I pondered your good points.. But I would submit this for you to consider.. Up there a few posts is one by a writer who is female and has made it clear that she is.. But in response to one of her posted stories a person in the comments section said rather rudely that she was not a woman..

What did they base that on? The fact that she wrote something kinky??

maybe you've been lucky enough to not encounter any sexist reactions to any of your postings? but i would not have started this post if it wasn't coming off as rude comments towards me from men, even though i have clearly stated i am female, they assume there is no way that can be true because of the kinky nature of my story. i am a first time user here, so obviously i was taken aback by this type of thinking. it had never even crossed my mind that my sex would come into question, because like you i thought this way of thinking was beyond being apart of our society's mindset. unfortunately, that is the point of this forum....people are obviously not beyond having that way of sexist thinking. and i'm not the only female on this site who hasn't fallen prey to men who feel the need to bash them through public comments. sometimes they can be funny, but at some point you have to just wonder what the hell is going through some peoples minds. and honestly you say that you live in a town deep south texas where racism isn't an issue...but perhaps you're just a little blind to it? i think you're obviously an amazing person because you yourself are colorblind and do not see any issues with people who are different from you, but i do not think you should allow yourself to be blind to the fact that there are ALOT of people out there who are seriously twisted with racist and sexist mindsets...young and old alike. i think the reason it doesn't seem like its that many people anymore is because it's become more "taboo" to be that kind of closed minded people so people are more careful with expressing their backwards views...however here on literotica you can be faceless and nameless if you choose to be so you can be as rude and closeminded as you want to be.

That's possible. Maybe the story's male perspective was written so well that it was tough to believe that a woman was capable of writing it. Who knows. Maybe he was being shallow after all. But again, you can't take this one guy and apply his beliefs to more than just him. I'm sure he represents a group of men (and maybe even women) that is a lot smaller than people make it out to be.
