If you accept that then how do you explain the acceptance of the BDSM comunity to be called "PERVERTS".

It used to be a derogetory term, but we claimed it as our own. I don't think infibulation in THIS context is about mutilation.

I wish to stay out of the developing conversation here with one exception. My original point based on my rather extensive knowledge of de Sade from both a fictional aspect and reality in as much has been documented is to state only that the topic of infibulation remains a part of the fiction realm. How others in this Century wish to manipulate fiction as a form of philosophy to suit their own agenda is not an issue to me. Mainly because I can and do differentiate between fiction and reality. This is not a strong point for everyone. ( General comment )

I will concede your point however Dragonteeth that today's reality of infibulation the intent is removed from mutilation. Best keep in mind however that no matter how this is painted erotically or otherwise within a range of opinions from within the BDSM Community, that some people will only ever regard the practise as a form of mutilation remains a fact. More so when you step outside of the weary in BDSM that have seen it all and move into the mainstream.

Well if the lock was positioned at the TOP of the lacing and was of sufficient quality (Brass) it shouldnt be a problem.

You are thinking of corset piercings, which can be done in the back, leg, arm, etc. They are not considered infibulation, no.

I have no idea about rusting!

Not sure why I haven't posted in this thread until now - I find the photos that you posted beautiful - liked the ties using one thread better aesthetically but can understand using multiple threads. I know a woman who has had multiple labia piercings that her M laces up with ribbon and it looks stunning (but does it fit the term infibulation?).

I'm not sure if that would be considered infibulation or not...I guess it depends partly on the intent and partly on the method. If the intent is to close off her labia so she's inaccessible, then it sounds like infibulation to me...and yet if it's not done tightly - just kind of loose - then I wouldn't call it infibulation.

How about you get them to take some pictures and we'll judge from that.
