Has TDS actually mushed "liberal minds" to the point where it is vanity to even try to discuss anything? I have known for many years that trying to reason with a drunk is a fools mission. This is starting to feel the same way. What is infecting people's minds? Is the fake news really powerful enough to generate this level of mindless echo chamber hate and nonsense? I really am starting to think that trying to have a logical discussion with these folks is a waste of time. What do you think?

Well...y'see...the problem is that you're not being honest with yourself about what you really want.

You don't want to talk with "liberal minds," you want validation of your choice by the other side, an acknowledgment that your choice means that you were "right" or "correct" and a tabula rasa of all the disposable ugly rhetoric that was said by your choice in order to "move on."

Shouldn't you be happy and ecstatic that "your side" won? Wasn't winning the goal, the endgame? Why is there a desperate need to talk with people whose views run counter to your own? Is there not enough company in your community for forum?

Yes. Your gut is telling you your truth and you aren't listening to it. You are wasting your time! It's not that reasoning with drunks is a fools' mission, but rather you should be getting drunk in the company of people who think as you do and made the same choice.

That's where the party should be, but it ain't. I dunno what to tell ya. That's not the responsibility of "liberal minds" to provide.

I pay attention to the media of the real left -- The Nation, Mother Jones, In These Times, Democracy Now, etc. -- and I never see any anti-white propaganda at all.

And I don't see anti-religious propaganda either. I do see a lot of dire warnings about the threat of Christian Nationalism, but that's not the same thing at all.
