For me, it's not an issue, as those I'd like to meet live the far side of the world. I've only met two people online that come from my country that I was aware of, ..one here on Lit (Sally) and the other is on my other site (male). I'd not meet anyone in case it would worry hubby, and I'd not do that for the world, as he's super cool about my being here and I don't want to push it.

But really those I'd dearly love to meet are just too far away, and too expensive to travel to , so it's not an issue.

There was someone from the General Board that was VERY close to me. He worked at a store right next to my work. I think we both had that "Hey, wait a minute" when we first ran into each other, but couldn't place the other. Never actually talked more than brief passings on GB, though, so not enough to feel comfortable going "Oh, so THAT'S you!"

My stalker knows enough about me to probably StreetView my house.

A friend referred me here. Not sure if she is a member. She does know my user name. I told two very close friends about lit. One was too shocked at the whole idea, the other is curious. My boss would faint....lol

It wouldn't surprise me. I checked out my own address out of curiosity and on first glance I can immediately tell it's at least a year out of date.

Also, it's not like I'm going to show up at your place or anything. Not with modern airline prices, anyway.
