This was super interesting! I'll add my thanks for doing this for the good of the community.

I'm also a total data geek, and this survey made me think how interesting it would be to download all the Lit data and analyze it. WAY beyond my personal skillset, but I'm sure there are folks out there that could do it. I'd love to see the word clouds for different bb threads for example or even for the chats. Would also be SUPER interesting to see the network map of all the Lit folks...who chats with who, who PMs who, etc. I imagine there are some really interesting super connectors out there.

Anyway...thanks for doing the survey and for sharing the results. If anyone is interested in a "big data" analysis similar to what I described above in Lit, there's a fantastic book called "Everybody Lies...Big Data, New Data, and What the Internet Can Tell us About Who We Really Are" that analyzes huge data sets from places like Pornhub and Google to see what people are REALLY into.

There are also a few interesting posts at Pornhub Insights including this one about BDSM. One chart that's interesting is countries with above average searches for BDSM content on Pornhub...to no one's surprise here, FINLAND, is on the list!

Yes apparently 'extra spreadable' (one third butter, two-thirds vegetable oil) should be avoided.

Well way back when, they weren't allowed to sell butter coloured margarine. It had to be white with a small coloured circle that you had to knead through it to get the butter colour. Thinking you might like to go back to those days, but then thinking no, you'd rather they didn't sell it at all.
