Isolated BDSM Blurts: Facehugger Fetish

My cat licks his balls to make me feel inferior; it's working.

And the longhaired feral lays in the middle of our courtyard with his legs splayed out airing out his junk and showing off it to the neutered ones.

(I won't have him fixed because I think he already has an owner and only uses me for a meal ticket because he is one fat cat!)

It's been 4 years, today.

I'm atheist, and so don't really pray, but every year I ask whoever might be listening, "Please let me have one more October."

And here we are... :)

Sometimes
I feel like I have something to write

And I do...
I have a lot of things to write

Feelings
And memories
Just below the surface
In the form of words

Like coins
At the bottom
Of some fountain
Tossed in by passers by

Memories of feelings
Felt hard

And I want to touch them
Take hold of them
And throw them on the wall of my thread
For them to be read

And then forgotten about

Like some kind of passing nameless stranger's face

Except... for maybe one person
Who very well might no longer read me

So instead
I let them go

But they don't go anywhere.

All they do
Is sink back to the bottom of the fountain.

Can I come do it for you?

Yes please!

I hate all the decisions I have to make. At this rate I'll have to wear a headlamp at home for light because I can't decide on which lamps to get. It's gonna be a mighty dark winter for me.

With a proper budget, I love decorating. No budget and I want nothing to do with it. :) Start with how much you’re willing to spend, then think about how you want the space to feel. What do you already have? Do you want to keep going with that aesthetic or are you looking to change the whole thing? Answering these first will help make picking out the items a little easier. Also, it’s a hassle to do this but I’ve totally bought lamps or decor items and tried them out for a night to see if it’s something I really like and returned items that didn’t work (make sure on the return/exchange policy first).

Also, items can look a bit more jarring under the bright fluorescents of a store but will look much more cozy at home. Just something to keep in mind. I hope that helps.

Thanks! I've definitely noticed that lots of things look a) small and b) unappealing in stores.

The problem is that I know I don't want to keep almost anything from the old. I've never cared for decor and if things look pretty, because I've always thought where I live is temporary. I've moved around a lot.

Now that I've bought a place, it's more permanent and I want to make it pretty and nice, but I seriously miss the decorating gene (or even the decorating will) and making all these decisions is daunting, because then I'll have to live with the things I buy and decisions I make and I'm so ill equipped to make them.

I have almost zero sense of what colors go together or what to take into account when choosing a dining table or a couch or a lamp. Because of the lack of color coordination skill I think everything will end up being black, white or gray. Oh well, I'll just have to buy a throwpillow in an actual color, I guess, and call it Scandinavian minimalism.

I should have just hired a decorator. I think my plan b is just copying the decoration of the sales ad. Thank god I had the good sense to save the pictures. :D

Well, lamps are difficult. We had our old ones and some very cheep ikea ones when we moved to bigger places, while l used my evening walks to spy on other peoples lamps through the windows.
I think it’s easier to find things I like used and floor lamps, table lamps etc are also easier to find than the chandelier type things.
Also, when you already bought something, you’ll find lots of things you like.

Don’t know if you have Mio where you are?

They are not bad when it cones to lamps and have saved me a few times with lookalikes when I’ve fallen in lust with something beyond my budget.

Sadly no Mio here and they don’t deliver here either. Or at least didn’t when I last looked. Maybe I’ll double check, maybe the pandemic has changed their delivery area. :)

I have bought two lamps, yay. It’ll take a while until they arrive though, but at least I don’t have to sit in complete darkness the entire winter.

Thank goodness. I was worried that you wouldn't be able to see the crosswords.

I started out with the Early Garage Sale and Modern Attic look and just kept changing pieces over the years. I was never able to afford buying an entire set of anything until I was in my mid 30s so I had to work on developing that color coordination that everyone but me seems to possess.

Just look at the new p!ace as an ongoing project and don't worry about everyone else's perception. As Meek says, do you.

Congrats on the new place!:rose:

Most of 2020 was one and now almost certainly all of 2021 will be a wretched, no-good, horrrible, and seemingly perpetual isolated blurt.

Like my friend likes to point out when she’s visiting (the old, hopefully not the new) place, it’s like entering a time machine and coming to a usual university student apartment ca. 2008. :D

I can’t color coordinate, I don’t have an eye for beauty, I have no idea about style and coziness. And I don’t seem to have any interest to learn any of that either, which is weird, because usually I want to learn everything. It’s proven problematic…

But I’ll figure this out and send pics when I’m done. Don’t hold your breath. :D

Hey, long time no Lit-see! You have to get more active here, you can’t deprive us of your Christmas ab. Not in the midsts of these trying times! :)

This!
Home=a collection of things we like (or in the case of must haves, don’t hate) and could afford.
What we learned along the way is to not get temporary stuff unless absolutely necessary to function. Temporary turns out to be a long time…

Someone said a dick pic sent to them looked like a skinned rabbit and that’s all I see now. It was disgusting before but now I’m slightly amused AND nauseous. Skinned rabbit is just so spot on, too. 👌🏻

I hate to blow up an appealing analogy, but it only works if you've never skinned a rabbit.:D
