Whilst on business in South Korea (Gyeonggi), I had an afternoon free to myself; as such, thought I would have a gentle shopping trip (mainly pottering as we say in the UK). I came across a large department store, and with it raining heavily, thought I would shelter in here for half an hour. After a while, I ended up in the cosmetics/perfumery floor that was full of leading branded concessions on offer (Chanel, Dior etc) and with it being the girlfriends birthday, thought I would buy her something nice as well. Then suddenly, behind me, I heard a commotion getting louder.

Turned around and I was lucky enough to see the start of a female catfight. Two evenly sized women (would say around mid-30s) launched themselves at one another, quickly grabbing each others hair to gain the upper hand. Cursing and swearing, everyone in close vicinity could feel the viciousness of the combatants, as they attempted to win the fight. In order to break the hair pulling deadlock, one of the females kneed the other in her breasts after pulling her head down. This was a good move as the woman dropped to the floor winded. By then, security separated the two fighting females; a small crowd had gathered to watch the fight (including myself) and no one attempted to stop the fight. This is what I admire about Asian society, when someone fights, they watch and don’t get involved; thankfully, this was the same for this department store fight. I was very impressed with the fighting skills of the winning female (whoever you are, you have an admirer and a fan in the UK).

After vet visits and every other thing she hated, our cat would absolutely get back at us (well, just me, because she loved J and J could do no wrong) by jumping onto my pillow/face in the middle of the night and scaring the crap out of me. At least it was a change of pace from her usual night time routine of pawing at my toes.

She is actually pretty calm and collected about this, which is a bit confusing.
She strained a bit when I gave her the pain killer the first time, but now she stays still, opens her mouth when I push gently at the corners and just swallows without the typical cat retching. I’m almost getting the feeling that she knows it helps with the pain?
She is also calming down a bit and getting more trusting with age.

When we got home after the vet visit, she slept off the sedatives in my arms and was totally kitten ragdoll limp with occacional
”help I’m falling”-jerks and it was soo adorable.
Now we are back to only being allowed to hold her for a short while, but she is happily sitting next to, pushing around and walking on top of us.
She doesn’t co-sleep with youngest Miss Althea as usual though because the cone and the duvet don’t mix too well.

As far as I can tell, the skin doesn’t seem to be necrotizing at all, so maybe the blood supply was less damaged than we thought. Time will tell and we have a follow up visit Monday.
I’m not looking into it too deeply as I have to (man)handle her enough with meds and wiping/brusching since she can’t clean herself with the cone, without beeing too nosey about the wound at this point.

My best friend was supposed to come here for the weekend, but her dog got sick last night. The dog is on meds now and doing okay, but understandably she doesn't want to leave her dog now, so she's not coming.

Normally I love the alone time when I get it, I need it to function. But now I was so looking forward to other things and spending time with my friend that I’m struggling to enjoy this.

I’m doing the things we were supposed to do together and it’s not nearly as much fun. Boo.

I had sushi for lunch, went to an art museum, painted my nails, went to sauna, did a hair mask, a face mask and foot masks. Now wondering what to do with the rest of my weekend.
