Joy's negativity and venting about writing thread

Minor vent: when you're writing a sex scene, but you write it too slowly to maintain the special "mood" for its entire duration. So now I have to WAIT and recuperate before I can continue that scene. :cautious:

Or you could end the scene unsatisfyingly early and blame verisimilitude. ;)

When you’re anxious about your last story getting published, have been so for over two weeks, and are thinking of just giving it all up, then suddenly are inspired to write several more…

Unfortunately I'm too nice to vent publicly, even here, about my real issues with my writing. I'll keep the lid on the volcano in this forum.

When I get stuck writing a particular piece so start something else, but can't finish that either, and now I have two unfinished stories.

Yeah I think that person took everything down. Don't know why. My recollection is that it was a really intense objectification and degradation story. Some girl being told she was nothing but a thing, and coming to take pride in being a really good thing.

wanting to be a thing certainly is a thing, I know.

I get reminded of the 1960's movie "Alfie", where the misongynistic hero (Michael Caine) calls women "it".

60 years later there are still 'men' like that. We know where many of them can be found.

Keeping track of continuity. In a sex scene the lovers can end up as contortionists. Or having them go to sleep on a Friday night and wake up the next morning on Monday.
