Keeping up appearances

So I'm resurrecting this thread because I need to talk eyebrows.

Mine are disappearing. I didn't really notice or care until I saw a picture of me a few years ago and I looked like an egg. Hardboiled. Not a good look.

What do you do - if anything - with your brows?

I don’t pluck outside the line. I use pencil and a brush. I still have a decent brow, but I notice the hair on my head changing texture.

My aunt got her eyebrows tattooed.

Tinted?

microblading?

I'm no help with eyebrows, but backing up to the wipes and allergies issue, those things can be recycled. Throw 'em in the wash. Indestructible. Then stick them in a ziploc bag with something you tolerate. Clean is good.

I get mine dyed every month, when I get my hair dyed. I've never had a lot but as I've aged, the colour has lightened enough that it looks like I don't have eyebrows. I find dying them helps, isn't expensive and isn't time consuming.

Tattooing will fade into an unattractive color. Think about old blue-looking tats that used to be black.

You could have them tinted and then fill them in with a brow specific product. A place like the Brow Bar at Benefit could help you with this.

Agree with this, it's brow heaven and their products are worth the money. I have completely blonde brows and lashes. This face was made for all things makeup.

I actually had them tattooed about five years ago. That faded quickly. I've had them professionally tinted but overlook my brows as a thing to get done, until I see myself in a picture and think something is just a bit off.

Putting eyebrows on the list of things to do!

I have dark, bushy brows. I get them waxed at a nail place every couple of weeks, and tweeze a bit in between. I used to wax them myself at home, but i like the few minutes of feeling pampered a couple of times a month.

I have noticed the hair on my legs is getting sparser. Woohoo! :nana:

We won't talk about the unwanted facial hair.

Turmeric?

I've read on a couple of sites that one can make a paste from turmeric and baking powder/soda (?) and it is a natural hair remover. Can anyone verify this? I might try it but wonder about it turning my skin yellow! :)

Turmeric is the new “in” thing, like lavender oil a few years back.
I’ve never heard this, but you never know.

I don’t think it can hurt you, but research it just the same.

And then let us all know!
Please.
:)

Because no guy will ever venture into this thread...LOL
