Brother, can you spare some weasels?

Casserole of Weasel
1 3/4 to 2 pounds, dressed weight of lightly killed weasels
5 cups cold water
2 pods dry red pepper, 1 1/4 inch long
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon flour
1 1/2 pounds sweet potatoes, cut in half
and Parsley

warm your oven to 375 degress Farenheit
Clean weasels carefully, removing scent glands and any clinging hair. Wash thoroughly. Place in a 3-qt saucepan, add water and salt, and 1 pod of the peppers. Heat to boiling , reduce heat, cover and boild gently until tender but not tender enough to separate from the bones, about 1 1/2 hours. Drain off broth: save one cup; discard the rest. Put weasels into a casserole, sprikle with flour and the other pod of pepper crushed medium fine over the meat. Put one of the pared washed sweet potatoes inside each weasel and arrange the rest around them. Pour the 1 cup of broth around the weasels. Bake covered until potatoes and meat are very tender; then remove cover and back to an appetizing brown, or about 1 hour. Serve piping hot with a garnish of parsley. 3 to 4 servings.

Note: Hubbard squash or cushaw baked with the weasel are equally as good as the potatoes.

Does anyone else here want to know how one "lightly" kills a weasel. Will the recipe still work if the weasel is "heavily" killed? How do you tell when the weasel is killed just enough?
