Let's Rock

Look up the video on one of the allowed sites (YouTube is easiest), then click on the "Share" arrow (the arrow curving to the upper right). This will produce a URL, which you can copy with Ctrl+C. Then, when replying to the thread, click on the "Media" icon above the text box (an overlapping picture and film icon, between the smiley face and the quotation marks). Then just paste the URL, and the video will show up when you hit "Post reply".
Actually, it's better to use the "Insert Link" button above, which looks like a paper clip I think, and paste the URL in there. That will appear on your post. When you hit "Post Replay," the video image (whatever appears on YouTube) will be there. Be careful: I've sometimes linked to the wrong video and had to do it again.

Just copy the url from the url bar and paste it as is into your post. The site will automatically detect it and convert it to the forum player.

One of a few go-to "I need to chill for ten minutes and get my head straight" songs. Definitely rockin', but not the usual fare.

And in case you didn't listen long enough and think it's not rockin' enough, this is my go-to "I'm royally pissed and need to get my head straight" song.

It might be a little different than most people's idea of rock but it sure does it for me.
Lindsey Sterling and Lzzy Hale - Shatter Me.

Ministry does a good cover of Radar Love (1973). "The radio is playing some forgotten song; Brenda Lee's Coming On Strong." Maybe it is forgotten because I had to look it up. She recorded that song in 1966.

Let's take it way back....

Dion grew up about two miles from where I did, although he is older than I am. One of his later songs from the 1990s. "Well, I was wise in my own eyes. I awoke one day and I realized: You know this attitude comes from cocaine lies."

I saw the Golden Earring perform live once. They were definitely phoning it in. Lost all my respect in the space of an hour and a half.
I can respect a musician or a band that adds something to a live performance that is beyond what is on the original recording. I saw Van Halen do it once, but God were they loud; I had temporary hearing loss when I came out. I've never seen Los Lobos is person, but they give a good performance on stage here.

ooh, I hadn't heard that one! Related band RevCo did some...interesting...covers:

Good cover, lovecraft. It captures the spirit of the original yet it goes in a different direction. If anybody is curious about the French in the middle, it translates as:

What I did, that evening
What she said, that evening
Fulfilling my hope
Headlong I go towards glory
, okay.

PS: Is Velvet Revolver a nod to Velvet Underground, perhaps, or merely a co-incidence?
