Let's Rock

Well, here's another

Maybe Molly Tuttle is a bit too "wholesome," at least in appearance, for you, but she can definitely play a guitar. This is a cover of the late Townes Van Zandt. I guess it overlaps country with rock, but so what? I liked it enough to mention it in a story.

In keeping with my stories in Loving Wives, I present:

If you're looking for old school heavy metal, I liked this one by Kiss. But you need to listen carefully to the radio in the background at the beginning of the album version to understand the full context. It relates to the final lyrics of the song:

Iron Maiden....I go to work for five am so there's rarely any traffic. I had this blasting at top volume singing along and looked down to see I was going 98mph and thought, goddamn, I am still sixteen

My niece, who was 16 when Thor: Ragnarok came out, couldn't believe this song was as old as her mum. 🤣

These guys may have had questionable talent, modest vocal ability, and scant instrumental proficiency, but they perfectly embodied the spirit of punk. I loved 'em.

Not exactly rock but it wakes me up:

The moment when a goth metal band realises they're allowed to have fun:

These guys didn't get enough love outside Australia:

One of the best rock singers of all time, Paul Rodgers. Later became the frontman for Bad Company:

I still remember the comedian George Carlin's skit as a DJ saying:
"And our caller won the question of the day by naming the three MOST POPULAR songs OF ALL TIME with the answers 'Happy Birthday to You', ... 'Auld Lang Syne', ... and 'In-A-Gadda-da-Vida'".

The three minute drum solo at about 6 and a half minutes in is a classic!
