Love Is.....

 Love is your very masculine, bearded Master wandering with you in the fog doing an impersonation of Kylie Minogue singing Can't Get You Outta My Head. Priceless.:)

Catalina:rose:

Love is trying to put Master at ease while He was waiting to see the dentist this morning......I thought I was bad but He really has a phobia about them and that is why He ended up with a badly infected tooth :(

Ok, been trying to think of the words to describe what I feel love is. Love is not necessarily a feeling it's a doing. When you love someone you stick by their side even when it's not fun, you take care of them even when it doesn't feel good.

Love is when Kenny cleans up after me and doesn't make me feel bad about it. Love is him getting up in the middle of the night, even though he has to work the next day, and helping me to the toilet. Love is when he goes to the store to find something to tempt me to eat, or when he goes down cause I'm actually craving something.

Very true......we have a similar relationship where I have days where I just barely function, but he never wavers or makes me feel he wishes I were anyone other than me. It is a wonderful gift to have such love and know it is not just a transitory thing for the good times only.

Catalina:rose:BTW, love your sig line....had it stuck on my car for years!!

In the end it was the pain which drove Him there - the tooth was badly abscessed :( He had not slept for 3 nights! If it happens again (and it probably will, His teeth have been damaged by His illness) I think I will only have to remind Him of this painful experience

*Isn't it amazing how big brave Doms suddenly get all wussy at the mention of the dentist.......* :D

Love is.... closing your eyes and feeling Him right there with you even when he is 1000 miles away.

....falling asleep in his arms just because you feel so safe and protected there.

....laughing at his silliness, and thinking about it when you need to smile.

For those who misuse the word love even kids have a better understanding than adults. The last one is the best!

A group of professional people posted this question to a group of 4 to 8 year olds. "What does love mean?"
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.
See what you think.

When my grandma got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandpa does it for her now all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.

And the winner was a 4 year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly man who had just lost his wife. When the child saw the man cry, the little boy went over into the man's yard and climbed on top of the man's lap and just sat there.
When the boy's mother asked him what he'd said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry."

Love is asking your beloved if he'd like a hot drink on a cold day.

Love is deciding to stay up later to be with him, because he likes having you there, even if you miss a little sleep.

Love is making sure he knows you love him by doing things he likes before he even asks.

Love is sharing your pizza with him because he's hungry, even when he protests that it's your share and he intended it for you.

It took me a long time to figure that out, but I'm never forgetting that again.

Hmmm..I can only say what I thought was love.....It was for a guy to come on my prom from another country missing his important exam and uni and having to retake it in June....

now it's so much more complicated....

Him turning down an offer from another woman to ease His loneliness while I am away in a different country - and telling me about it in an email.........

love is...when you're together, facing eachother...locked together in an embrace that feels so free yet so secure... when there is no separation, your breath is one, your heartbeat one
you are watching eachother, seeing in her eyes that she is feeling you as you are feeling her--- as one being, breathing, pulsing, feeling, ....loving...depth... freedom....

Love can be painful, like someone ripped a hole in your chest making it impossible for you to breathe... and at moments you least expect it, love is in the tears burning their way down your face as some memory hits you full force

makes you question love, what is it... if it can hurt so bad

so i appreciate the answers here because they say that love is

love is...

the simple sacrafices

in the comfort shared or given

the shared history

the fun you can have together

the one look that says it all

Hey! Some of us learned everything we know about sadism from our childhood dentist.

Evil, nasty ogre-man he was.

Love is hauling your sleepy behind out of bed at 4 am into the freezing cold to help him dig out the car so he can go to work when the ENTIRE rest of the world is staying home.

Love is closing a major retail store on a busy Saturday morning because you are the only manager on duty and your wife's mother just passed away. Love is dealing with the coroner when your wife goes through the same thing ten months later when her father passes.

 Love is feeling like a newly wed who can't stay apart a moment without feeling a part of you is missing.....LOL, even going on for our third year. Sheeesh, we even chat on IM while he is at work so we can be together in some small way.

Love is...

... him coming to help do the dishes unasked, even though he knows he doesn't have to help with them.
