Luna's Haven~closed save for invitees.

Leans in, very close, full lips touching one sensitive ear lobe

Let me sit on your lap. We can talk about the first thing that pops up.

Wicked laughter that stops with a yawn.

Oh hell...but maybe I should sleep first...gotta be up in a little over 5.5 hours.

A wicked smile spreads across my face, but fades into a simple grin. "I'd love to keep you awake in wonderful ways, but I know the importance of sleep. Enjoy your nap, good wolf."

*Getting up with a stretch and stepping over to the wolfen hostess, I lean over to offer a good night kiss.*

You should sleep, Luna. And dream the kind of dreams that you'll remember tomorrow. ;)

Standing up, I take my lap top inside before coming back to hug and kiss all of my visitors. I am yawning continuously now and I know that sleep will swallow me soon.

Good night, sweetest Blessing, dragon kin, Erlind~you very bad man....

I hope to see you all again, soon.

With a small wave, I step inside my cabin, shutting and locking the door behind me. Then stripping down, I head upstairs, to my bed and climb into the warm softness.

The temptation to follow the wolf up to her bed is strong, but I know better than to trespass.

"Sleep well," I say before wandering out into the wilderness. Some time after my disappearance the ottoman fades out of existence as well.

* With a smile and a wave of farewell, I shoulder my pack to continue my quest. Turning my gaze to the shadowy depths of the forest, I know that somewhere out there is a place for me. I'll know it when I find it. And if it's nearby, I couldn't hope for a better neighbor than the wolf kin, my friend. I turn my footsteps once more in the direction of the heart of the heart of the forest.*

I awaken~ head pounding, mouth dry, limbs shaking. I do NOT feel well. No matter. I have no choice but to get up and get ready for the day. Work. Eleven hours worth. Then home. I feel like stir fried shit. NOT good.

So up, on to my feet and into the shower, hoping the heat helps me focus.

Dressing now~black dress slacks, low heels, a navy blue button down. My hair is a mass of curls and I do NOT feel like applying make up, so I don't. Instead, I head downstairs, to my kitchen. I need a cuppa cocoa.

Gray greets me at the stair bottom, his dark eyes gleaming.

'You come play now?'

I grin happily and lean down to run strong fingers through the thick ruff of fur on the back of his neck.

"Can't play long, Gray. Have a job to do."

I emerge from the woods trying very hard to look the tall somewhat dark hopefully handsome stranger. I meander up to the porch and sit down. Once again when I put my feet up the leather ottoman that shouldn't be there, suddenly is. If the wolf needs a distraction she'll know I'm here.

A scent~warm musk, a hint of some sort of pheromone, new hay. Calling Gray to the door, I open it and step outside. Oh. Erlind has returned. A wicked smile pulls out my almost non existent dimple.

"You are up VERY early, Sir. You come to keep me entertained?"

Small feet bring me outside, into the coolness of the clearing and the surrounding trees. Again, I see the ottoman and his comfortable position. How DOES he do that?? I step over his legs and flop down into my porch swing. Bird song is light, coming and going in waves. I take a sip of my cocoa and glance at him from the corner of one dark eye.

"Do you want some coffee, a hug, some tea, a kiss...maybe some early morning perversion??"

Does she notice the transplanted Linden just beyond the ash? It is small -- barely the diameter of her knee, but it is already tall and sturdy, stretching up to catch the morning sunlight.

Linden awakes to the sun, notices that there are two on the porch and smiles. Two ... a number that for now is not to be added thereunto.

"I slept in this morning considering how most of my mornings go, but yes dear wolf, I am meant to be entertainment. As for the offers of beverages and other things."

I lean in and steal the aforementioned kiss. I find it hard to leave her lips to make it short and sweet, but I manage it.

"Tea would be wonderful."

A man who can kiss properly? Not slobbering all over me or trying to force a tongue down my throat? Heaven. I can feel my cheeks heat slightly and I am glad that my pretty brown skin doesn't show blushes as easily as those of the paler persuasions.

"Tea? Hot or cold? Earl Gray, Lipton, chamomile, spearmint, green or Chai? With or without lemon?"

The words are soft, husky, and slightly flirtatious. Rising to stand, I await his want and glance out into the clearing. In the near distance, I see a small, slender sapling, already strong and green. Linden's new home? I smile again, eyes misty, before turning to focus on the man who sits there, so comfortably.

"Tell me, quickly, or I will just make up something!!"

I hang on every word even though I don't really need most of them.

"Hot. Earl Gray sounds nice this morning. I wouldn't want you just ... making things up."

She seems to be ready to go inside to get my tea ready. Again tempting to follow, but I know this place was meant to be more of a sanctuary. I can wait for an invitation.

A wide smile as I hear his request. Then it's inside the cabin, to the kitchen. I place my tea kettle on the stove and boil water while arranging a mug and saucer on a tea tray. Once the kettle starts whistling at me? I pour the hot water over the tea bag, letting it steep for a few minutes. The scent is delicious~black tea, a hint of orange, a touch of bergamot. Finally, I remove the bag and place a selection of clover honey, natural sugar cane and lemon wedges beside the mug.

Then I pick up the whole shebang and return to the porch, looking for all the world like some poor little waitress. I offer him the cup with a grin.

"Service with a smile."

I place the tray to his left, so that he can add whatever he wants and clamber over his legs, again.

"I'm surprised how well a woman of the wolf knows the meaning of hospitality. I shouldn't be, but I am." I never know which of my words are going to cause trouble, I just hope these won't, because the compliment was genuine.

I take my first drink of the tea and smile and nod. I don't need to add anything to it and prefer not to when I can avoid it, so I don't.

"Do you provide all of your guests with all their small desires?" The question is posed nonchalantly, but other meanings remain clear.

His words bring a low giggle. Me? Hospitable? Hardly ever. I am a VERY private person. I know it. I relish privacy above just about anything else...and yet, I like meeting new people, learning about others. It is the healer in me, I guess.

"Wolf is not known for her gregarious nature, I suppose. And yet, my mother, in the RW, before she passed away, was a southern woman. She did Sunday dinners and open house for any and EVERY passing person~family or just friends. I am not like her so much. My sensibilities are a bit....different."

Another slow smile as his next question insinuates it's way into my brain.

"And yes. I do try to provide for my guests. The few that come here? They are those who want to know me, like I want to know them. They accept my self imposed strictures and don't push. Why wouldn't I want those people to feel the warmth of my regard?"

A short silence...

"Though I will admit, you intrigue me. I may be JUST a bit nicer to you than to others."

A wicked, dimpling, grin

I listen intently as she tells her story. I love hearing about why people are the way they are, and because it is Luna's story I am particularly interested. When I'm told I warrant nicer treatment my eyes nearly sparkle.

"I'm an absolute sucker for special treatment," I tell her sounded absolutely enthralled. The statement stands alone and to me at least feels out of place, but I let it stand for a moment anyway.

"I'm glad you want to get to know me, good wolf. I've always found you quite interesting myself. Sorry if I don't always go out of my way to show it, but most days I'm rather terrible at trying to be social. Anything you'd like to know about me. I'll do my best to leave my cryptic bullshit for someone else if you ask."

Her Shadow wove through the tree line, blending with herself and the surroundings
as dark as she is pale, her four feet furriness was pitch black
Spotting Gray in the clearing she charged the little pup, tacking and rolling with
his whimpering growly self. Hard for a pup to put up much bravado when tackled by
a panther in the early morning, especially one that pins the little wiggling thing
Licking and nuzzling it till he remembers her smell and starts biting back
in earnest for nearly scaring the furr off him.

Golden brown eyes glimmer as I listen to his words, my head slightly cocked. I never ASK. That is too easy. Instead, I am the one who sits and watches, who judges based upon words left behind in other circumstances. Erlind? He is smart, very much so. Not a fan of stupidity, of harshness, even if he agrees.

I think he is married in the RW, but I can't recall and honestly, I don't try to bring other's real lives up on the boards. He is a MAN. Not a puling boy or the maker of a tempest in a tea pot. Circumspect, honest, forthright.

"I treat each of my guests like they matter, because they do. But there are rare men that make me long for those days when I was more bisexual than queer. Those men have a certain...something. It is a VERY short list. And you are the first to pay a visit to my Haven."

I know I blush then. I can't help it.

"As for asking? No Sir. I learn by watching, stalking, whatever. What I know of you means I should learn more. And I do understand the antisocial tendency. I suffer from the same issue. My haven is a way of offsetting that without allowing it to become a free for all like my Den ended up being."

A small head shake, a soft sigh....

So then, I am reading your thread with the Ninaling...delighted little shiver

I LOVE the way she writes. Seems to be a damned near perfect pairing...and I am jealous...though I do believe I have roped M13 into an idea....Maybe you will be next?

A sassy little wink.

if she were not furry she would be visibly pink
distracted my intruding on a conversation she shouldn't be hearing
she didn't notice that Gray had not only rolled in prickly thorns but something sticky

shaking her head and wiping her tongue with a paw she accidentally took her eye off the pup,
whom snuck round her and bit a hold of her tail causing her to jump straight up in the air.
hissing she grabbed Gray by the scruff, she carried him up onto the porch, over to the other edge
and dropped him in the rain barrel

“You were just an incredible boost to my ego, Luna. Most of the time I can’t tell if I’m being arrogant or humble, so I don’t know if I needed it, but there it is. Not only were all the words the particular kind of flattery that I’m susceptible to, but they were coming from you, someone I have a great deal of respect for.”
I shake my head.

“It was difficult finding the right things to say just now, and I doubt I got it near right, but thank you Luna. And you are more than welcome to write with me. Most people are. It’s just finding an idea that will sucker me into starting another thread. I’ve written ideas I couldn’t really get behind with people I really wanted to write with and it always turns out terrible. I’ve written with people I very much wouldn’t have otherwise strictly because of the idea they had. Admittedly, those don’t turn out perfect, but I only have so much tolerance for poor writing, spelling, grammar, etcetera even with a fantastic idea.”

I continue drinking my tea and stop briefly as I remember something missing from my ramblings. “And yes. Nina and I do have a delicious thread beginning. I can’t wait to see what happens.”

*slips in for some strong Irish Breakfast and something to eat*

giggles at draggy's appearance

Hey hey dragon kin!!

if she were not furry she would be visibly pink
distracted my intruding on a conversation she shouldn't be hearing

Hysterical laughter as I see a Ninaling in fur and a wolf cub....both covered in leaves, sap, stinging nettles. She seems a trifle upset and I can hear Gray's whimper howl when she lets him know it in no uncertain terms by dropping him in my barrel.

BAD NINA!!

Jumping up, I climb over Erlind and race for Gray who is putting up quite a fuss.

Bad kitty!! Made me cold!!

I know. Bad kitty!

I scoop up the pup and place him on the ground by my feet. He shakes himself dry. Or mostly dry. Fur and water fly.

I return to the porch and begin to strip down, losing the slacks, the dress shirt, the sensible heels. Eventually, I am standing there in nothing but some black boy cut panties and a sports bra. Erlind's words bring a smile to my face and I toss the bundle of clothing inside before clambering over him, yet again.

"I am not so good at flattery. Especially not with guys. Killer with women though."

A grin.

"I just call 'em like I see 'em. Most of the guys I dig? They have that same thing~an ability to make me think with just a few well chosen phrases. You. LI. Veroe. Fr33k."

Another blush as I glance down at myself and see the faint goose pimples the cooler air has left behind.

"I should probably find something else to wear. See if you can talk Ninaling into losing her fur and joining us, hm?"

A sigh, a long stretch, each muscle displayed, each curve high lighted before I climb over him for the final time. With hardly a thought, I stop, my thighs on either side of his, my mouth hovering a hairbreadth away. I close the distance, brushing a soft kiss over firm lips...and then finish my retreat.

"Be back soon."

pausing from wiping her tongue she looks up at the reprimanding sexiness
snorting she ignores the words, the pup tasted awful and needed a bath
she gave him one.

Hopping off the porch she sniffed through the grasses till she found what she was sniffing for.
She laid in the sun and plucked at the little plant, mint, eating the whole thing before wandering back onto the opposite side of the porch. Hopping up behind the swing, crawling under it and then into it..
