MAGA civil war erupts between Musk, critics over H-1B visas

^^^ Gets on his knees and slobs big Pharma knob when told to.
Regarding Big Pharma:

“”Repeat after me: pharma being shit does not mean magic beans cure cancer."
Ben Goldacre[1]

Big Pharma is the pejorative nickname given to the pharmaceutical industry. Critics of the industry often use this nickname when discussing abuses by the industry, including:
  • Trying to suck every penny out of the pockets of the sick, injured, dying, and hypochondriacs[note 1]
  • Inventing new maladies so people will buy more drugs (as opposed to inventing better drugs so more people would become addicts)
  • Censoring alternative treatments that would be cheaper or more effective, rather than patenting and industrializing them (much as proponents of free energy claim censorship by energy companies, without basis)
  • Renaming old maladies so people will think their conditions are more serious, making them more willing to pay higher prices for prescriptions[2]
There are scientifically literate criticisms of Big Pharma. However, the overwhelming majority of criticism comes from non-scientific bases. Many alternative medicine merchants (such as homeopaths and naturopaths) stridently blame most or all opposition on Big Pharma rather than, say, a lack of scientific evidence for their claims.

🤷‍♂️

Making an attempt, probably futile, to drag this back to reality.

First of all congress determines H-1B quota's by act of law. Nobody in the administrative branch, including Trump, can do a damn thing about it.

Elon, Vivek, et al are making their opinions known. What you're watching is transparency. These discussions, which you are free to make your opinion known as well, were once happening behind closed doors with the public being totally shut out. You got to see the finished product only. This is, effectively, participatory democracy in action.

Trump has made his preference known long ago, he wants a merit based immigration system without the "families and friends" system we have today.

It is literally an amendment. You can explain it as much as you wish. People born in the US are citizens.
Isn't a dicktator on day one able to override the Constitution per SCOTUS? Asking for a friend who doesn't speak 'Engrish'...

🙄

Yeah, that explains why the various right wing factions are warring with each other right now….

😑

Newsflash:

NOTHING is agreed upon with the republican chaos-clown-car-cabal when it comes to immigration (or ANY policy issue except cutting taxes for the rich). Scapegoating marginalized groups is another thing MAGAts all agree upon, but that isn’t really a policy - more like dogma.

😑

Also:

DonOld’s affection for H1-B visas (as it relates to workers at his properties) has NOTHING to do with merit. DonOld’s H1-B workers are NOT the 0.01% of the top engineers in the world.

😑

Side note:

DonOld also employed undocumented workers at his properties (as do DonOld’s rich corporate buddies), so…

😑

MAGAts are “contemptible (and gullible) fools”.

Hope that ^ helps

👍

47 has already said he will do so. It might be fruitless....I hope it is

But we will see if he backs it up
Oh I have zero doubt that he will have his minions file a lawsuit. He has a history of suing anyone who has offended his fee-fees. Unless the lawsuit ends up in a Kangaroo Kourtroom like "Judge" Aileen Cannon, I can see nothing but defeat ahead for Tangerine Palpatine. He's the true creator of the concept of "lawfare".

Even then, it would go up on appeal. And no way is the SCOTUS even in its present formation going to rule against birthright citizenship.

This would be a fake tweet.
Ironically and literally underscoring the abject quality of Twitter under Muskrat's reign.

It has nothing to do with that. Anyone with an H-1B visa is legal -- but the MAGAts still object to their presence.

and it's the only part that actually matters to them.

they wanted a show instead of governance...and they're about to pay for what they wanted.
