Use hair conditioner not shaving cream. This was a tip I picked up years ago from here. No itch at all.

tripple blade for sensitive skin... rinse it often and never use the blades more than twice.

I've tried many of the techniques I've seen here, and I have yet to find one I really like. My shaving pattern is this: a little hair just above the base of the shaft, with a happy-trail up to my bellybutton. This I keep trimmed short. Other than that, it's shaved smooth. I like it this way for 2 reasons: 1, so it looks like I'm not 10, and 2, to answer that question everyone has about redheads.

But I've got a couple questions/problems that I'd like to ask the lit guys about:

i totally agree with you on the problem of the "transition". i've never shaved the "very low belly" area before cuz if i'd shaved it, i bet it'd look very weird with hair all over my thighs on the two sides while the middle is completely hairless.

Now not that I have done this myself... but everything I have heard about this is DON'T... Think about regrowth/stubble OUCH... think about summer days (sweating) STING and OUCH Think about walking and sitting when there is regrowth. When skin touches skin there is a much higher chance of ingrown hairs and infection after shaving.

If you are really concerned how someone else will view your "ass crack" then I would suggest waxing.
