Meet Mia Love. You'll be seeing a lot more of her.

Sorry Zumi...didn't know you were up and around so I'll take it out of third person and address you personally.

Fuck you, bigot.

How's that for verity?

Don't forget to call him "Jamal."

I'm always up and around, bitch.

So fuck you right on back, you yapping privileged shit.

Now that's better verity. We can call it beverity.

Huh.

My impression of him is much different from yours. I don't see the racism in him that you and others see. I do see someone who's life experience is different from mine and who can give me perspective. I see that in Eyer, too. And Subdued Passion. And a host of others here and in the real world.

I don't twit much anymore. But when I did, I got to see shots of Zumi's world. What I saw was someone living a good life in a big city with similarly-situated souls of all colors.

And I still don't understand Jamal.

You don't see it because coming from a more liberal mindset with its baggage described by GWB's speech writer of the "soft bigotry of low expectations" you think it is OK for blacks to whine and carp about the man keepin' them down because of historical and perhaps in exceedingly rare current instances barriers to their success.

I know white people (as I am sure you do) that whine about how life sucks and this job fell through and that one fired them over a misunderstanding and on and on. Do you do anything but roll your eyes at such people? Zumi has had exactly the life experiences he has chosen to have, as have you or I.

In the real world in which I live, every major corporation had active policies in place to locate, recruit, and promote blacks. Whining that this is not occurring as a wide-scale practice is NOT "verity."

Just as in the early days of affirmative actions some blacks who were quite qualified and deserving of hiring, retention and promotion were painted with the broad brush of being token hires and promotions. These days, community agitators and people of Zumi's ilk point to white people and suggest that they individually did not earn their positions.

Zumi thinks it is OK to point to the success of white men and ascribe their station in life to the backpack of privilege that they are just unaware of and it is absolute horseshit. It is racist to look at a white man and assume his greater success than Zumi is due to anything but hard work. Getting a job is hard. Keeping a job requires showing up and doing what you are paid to do. Getting promoted is hard.

My brother has just been promoted to lieutenant in a major police department. He doesn't whine about it but he had the top score on the lieutenants test SIX YEARS running and has been passed over as the 2-3 slots per year are doled out to those with lower scores but that satisfy racist, gender based and orientation community groups that demand their "fair representation."

Black in my area enjoy privilege even over Hispanics because Hispanics already occupy a majority of promotable positions. Blacks are fast tracked. Promotions that take a good 5 years for whites occur in 18 months to two years if they stay accident free.

So if his fucking neighborhood is handing out the big Hershey bars to whites and the fun-size milk-duds to blacks. FUCKING MOVE or STFU.

Reminds me of Vette and his "graffiti" bullshit comebacks.

I need to start a drinking game night every time homeboy uses "Zumi" in his screeds. That last one there would've put me on a stairway to heaven if I had a full bottle of Fernet-Branca with me. :D

Geraldo Rivera ✔ @GeraldoRivera

The NAACP refuses to embrace the success of Republicans Senator Tim Scott and Rep elect Mia Love because though black they are not victims.

Geraldo said that?

Good for him.

don't we all know that?

Well by "we" you mean people that do not have their heads buried in the sand since before 1950.

Geraldo, though tends to almost say something like that then waffle and spout some liberal cover. He tries to agree with everything, even if they are mutually exclusive.

That was pretty clear.
