My 2 cents ... transgender and cross dressing are two different things. And there are different kind of cross dressers.

I don't write stories but I could not have written stories about cross dressing without having experimented the feeling of feminine clothing on me and the feeling that it gives me over the sexual high it may give. If you have not experimented wearing feminine clothing and underwear on a daily basis in the privacy of the home, I don't think anyone can write a good story.
The feeling of coming home, preparing the pieces of lingerie that you want to wear, taking a nice shower, then dressing up for the rest of the day is something that has to be felt and experimented if you want to write or talk about it.
