I guess my biggest issue with the adulting isn’t the activities (didn’t actually get to the zoo yesterday, ended up doing some meal planning/prep for my sister, swimming again, and then to a very cold nature talk which was super cool and I got to pet a purple sea star) it’s the feel of obligation. Sure, I had a choice to come here and do this, but it always feels a bit like: ‘Oop. Well, now I have to.’ Once I say I will. Even when I feel like I do right now where I would just rather not do anything so social. It’s easy to hide it now, but those thoughts are always under the surface.

Yeah, I actually do understand that quite a bit. Been in those kinds of situations where I didn't really want to be doing things... but find yourself in that moment almost having to, and to put on different front because what you really want to do is curl up and just stay inside/in bed.

Today has been alright... Not sure if/when things will get back to some normalcy, but each day I do hope for it.

Thank you for your compliment. To answer your question about them hurting... I had them done first in 2009 and took them out for pregnancy and breastfeeding, then had them done again last March. I should warn you I lean on the masochistic side, but it doesn’t hurt as much as you build it up in your mind to. I kind of wanted the second time to be more painful, to be honest. My piercer thought I was an anomaly as she said the pain of hers was like feeling the death of a thousand suns... or something to that effect. I just smiled as the needle went through.

I’m always trying to maintain peak awesomeness. Today it already feels like I’m going to fall short, but there’s always tomorrow.

Maintaining that kind of awesome is rough, so sometimes it’s okay not to be as awesome as yesterday, but to try to be the most awesome you can offer to the today. Yesterday, I was told I was awesome. I didn’t really feel it as my toddler cried most of the evening/night and thew quite a few mini tantrums (not her style at all) which made me think it was something I was doing... and today isn’t going to be better, I can already feel it. But what I can do is be the best o can and hope that it’s enough to balance it out.

I could talk ponies all day. I identify with every one of the mane 6 for reasons which are obvious:
Twighlight Sparkle: I love books and learning new things. I am definitely a perfectionist like she is and I constantly worry about things I don’t really need to.
Pinkie Pie: I am very bouncy, and try to stay up beat, and I talk super fast when I’m nervous or excited, and I like sugary treats, and I like to be viewed as fun!
Rarity: I can sew and am often helping in projects or things that involve using my creativity. I also feel like my generosity towards others can sometimes take over, because I usually want to make others feel good before myself.
Apple Jack: I am very honest. Sometimes to a fault. I also pride myself in not being scared of hard work or helping friends with something. Nothing is below me, I’ve done a lot of things others may cringe about.
Fluttershy: Although I am shy in many situations (and can get alarmingly upset in others), I don’t feel like it is to the point where I can’t stand up for myself or others. I have a love of animals and nature and would spend even more time in it if I had more time in the day.
Rainbow Dash: I aspire to be as confident as Dash. She is the epitome of (20%) cool. She seems like the rebellious type, something I’ve always wanted to be, but never really was able to accomplish outwardly (all my rebellion is still under the surface). Oh! And I love rainbows and going sonicboom fast.

That was an interesting stage of my life... I really don’t like to think about that time too much because it brings back memories of my first Dom and I’m reminded I haven’t spoken a word in either text or voice with him for a year on March 10th... which is coming up. I am not much of a MLP fan, but I did meet the voice of Twilight Sparkle (Tara Strong) at last year's Dublin Comic Con. She is amazing, and I love her because she's been the voice of Harley Quinn for many incarnations. She even spoke to me in her voice at one point.
